ATRIUM HOUSE in GODELLA, Spain by Fran Silvestre Arquitectos

Sunday, June 30th, 2013

Article source: Fran Silvestre Arquitectos

A House in a urban area parts of the desire to maximize the feeling of spaciousness. Two strategies are used. The principal is to release the largest possible in the middle of the site allowing you to enjoy a private space with a height and volume incalculable. It enhances the perimeter of contact with the outside housing, land and housing understood as a continuum. On the other hand uses the existing slope to the ravine next to illuminate the basement, which enables you to host the program.

Branch of the National Center for Contemporary Art in Ekaterinburg, Russia by ARCHSTRUKTURA

Sunday, June 30th, 2013

Article source: ARCHSTRUKTURA

Reminiscence of beautiful utopian idea of the museum in the bridge.
This design followed strict requirements to the construction of contemporary art centers which ban damaging or irreversibly altering a historical monument, and order to safeguard and restore it as best as possible. So we designed a number of minimum additions providing both for all modern functions at the same time being stylistically neutral and meeting the safeguarding policy.

This house located atan extraordinary urban space is conceived as a “pavilion opened to landscape”. It´s back coincides with the access. It´s hermetic closed curved walls are inspired in the experience of walking by the Richard Serra sculpture of the Bilbao´s Guggenheim with my daughter, Clara.
