This project is a ‘House within a house’, which is built in a 20-year-old warehouse. A year ago in October, a young couple in their late 20s, visited our studio to build their house to live after their wedding. They were the youngest clients who required our design.
Charlotte Biltgen, a rising star in the French decoration world, gives a face lift to the Klay Club, the famous Parisian sports club, entirely renovating the splendid covered terrace and the restaurant now called “Sinople.” * India Madhavi’s former artistic director, tackles this bespoke interior design project for her first independent endeavour, where marble, brass and crushed velvet are the elements required for luxury without any hint of ostentation. The result: a graceful balance between Parisian chic and tropical sweetness. The industrial building designed for exertion housing the Klay Club is suddenly enriched by a restaurant in the form of a well-earned rest with a feminine touch, a welcome oasis.
The two houses together with the neighboring buildings form a cozy courtyard. The south garden offers much peace and quiet, away from the street noise. All living rooms have a direct connection to the outdoor space. The numerous balconies and terraces are well interconnected.
This work is the result of a process that began in 2004 with the construction of a summer house in the forest of Mar Azul.
It was necessary to intervene in a territory of great scenic beauty, owner of a powerful wild presence that is gradually becoming domesticated due to the proliferation of houses with a formal search from bucolic to picturesque which in nothing refers to that environment or to this present .
The extension of Farelcollege in Ridderkerk designed by KCAP Architects&Planners has been officially opened last week. The new building for general secondary education has already been in use since last September. The dramatic entrance creates a new main entry for the college.
A shipbuilder’s company housing on a cliff that views beautiful and calm Seto Inland Sea, where small islands float. This project is expected to revitalize a local industrial city while serving as comfortable accommodations for 37 families. On the roof that extends from ground level uphill, the rooftop plaza, a rare public space in the hilly town spreads.
The Pushed Slab is located between two completely different urban grids: the dense city fabric of blocks and streets in the North and the loose urban fabric in the south with its clear defined and straightforward infrastructure. The design is based on the requested office program and the energy requirements. The project combines proven energy efficiency technologies with individual office floors and outside spaces such as patios, balconies and a garden. The building is highly flexible offering three cores and a central lobby; it can be rented out to one or various tenants without structural changes.

To dwell in this vast land, men and women build graceful stone structures along the roads in Atacama, to get an insight into nature, and make it hospitable.
These concrete landmarks in the landscape, reveal the presence of water ponds used to irrigate the land, and to swim, and open up new perspectives to the immense wilderness around.
The water is kept still flowing gently over the ponds edges to reflect the light, and the beauty of the place, against the dark slate coating.
17 slate covered pools of natural hot springs waters that flow in plenty along a mountain stream, in the midst of the native forest of the Villarrica National Park in Chile’s southern Lake Country,450 miles south of Santiago.
