The Omenapuisto day-care centre is designed on a narrow site and follows the adjoining street pattern. The southern part of the site is reserved as a play area which the group rooms and corridors open on to. The aim is to achieve lightness and openness coupled with the necessary degree of supervision.
The challenge was to create an economic covering for a state-of-the-art pool. Johannesburg sits on a plateau known as the “highveld,” 5,000 feet above sea level, with earth rich in iron ore, causing frequent lightning strikes. Although the climate is temperate, night-time temperatures can drop significantly. The new pool was required to be both covered and heated.
The stadium is expected to used for international and national sports.The capacity of stadium is 25.000 spectators. it is thought to be a symbolic building for the city because of its architectural design and its audience.
The main design decisions of Antalya Aquarium project are determined with desire of vanishing in silhouette and creating harmony with topography. Pulling back of the ground floor, a shaded public area is created to beware from sun and profit from wind. This shaded public area is the point of approach, gather and diffusion of the aquarium project. Also the shell of this area determines the information and fast-food areas, amphitheater and box office with its curves and waves.
This house sits on high ground, and the rear of the site has wonderful views overlooking the greener and more affluent residential addresses in Singapore. Our client’s brief was to design a home of two stories, with an attic, and importantly a roof terrace facing the rear and overlooking the valley.
Kayseri Ice Ring is placed 9 km far away from the city center and inside the 10.000 square meters site. With the transportation facilities like car, minibus, bus and railway system; the Ice Ring has the chance to make citizens life more sportive. When designing the form of the building, the relation between the ice and the air comes into the mind. Besides, by the meaning of ice, global warming in our today’s world has the consideration for the citizens. For the changing climates, the less green and our apathetic stands can be more conscious in this way.
Development of an agricultural component object on approximately 300sqm of living space including a galleria on 2nd floor. Everything was planned so that it is very neutral looks although the color and radiates a lot of heat .
The 250sqm site runs east to west and is surrounded by two buildings, a perimeter wall and open on the western side. Initially the ground was pretty level and laid to paving blocks, allowing access to the buildings but serving not much purpose and fairly static. The project took 3 months to build during the wettest winter in the British Isles at a cost of £140,000.
DAAD Architecten has designed a new sheepfold, with a pitched barn and wool studio, in Balloo in Drenthe. The site, which was ruined through a fire, on the edge of the Balloo es [heightened plots of farmland, specific to Drenthe], has been developed into a public, central green, with spaces for education, information and art.
The proposed office building on Plot 10 in Cologne’s historic Rheinauhafen harbour district occupies a prime waterfront position, situated between two fifteen-storey ‘crane house’ office towers. The building’s distinctive stepped elevation is designed to create a strongly sculptural presence while responding to the views across the harbour.
