The Head Office of Renson already was from the realisation a landmark along the highway. The successful concept, designed by Jo Crepain was in 2003 awarded with the FAB Energy Award and in 2009 with the Green Good Design award. To add a major expansion was an exceptional architectural challenge. The design of the expansion was again entrusted to Crepain Binst Architecture and consciously in the same spirit and architectural force worked out as the already existing.

The former open space under the crossing of the offices became a showroom surrounded by a fully glazed, dynamic corrugated wall. By the extension of the existing roof terrace and continuing glazing is the horizontal nature of the building in relationship to the showroom back balanced and the natural buildup of pedestal (showroom) and superstructure (Office annex terrace) strengthened.

The Interior is sober and functional, this both in terms of material selection and use of colour. Glass, aluminum and terrazzo forms the basic materials of the extension, the basic shades of black and white are supplemented with powerful sparingly accent colors red and blue. The furniture is limited to tight volumes where the numerous efficient products can be stored. In the experience – zone are the abstract “cottages” the perfect carrier to the Renson products on true-to-life way. The airy and balanced development of all components of the walk through the showroom an intriguing and educational experience.
