Hicks Orthodontics is a comprehensive care practice with an existing location in Knoxville, Tennessee. In late 2012, BarberMcMurry architects was approached by the practice to help design a modern facility to house an expansion into an underserved rural location approximately 5 miles northwest of Lenoir City in East Tennessee. The client asked that the new building respect the warmth of the rural context while also providing a progressive image which aligned with their vision. Located off of U.S. 321, the site is situated for maximum visibility from passing traffic. The location is also strategically placed close to local schools to serve the orthodontic needs of that population. Adjacent parcels to the southeast remain undeveloped and densely vegetated. A gas station & convenience store is located on the parcel immediately to the west. We positioned the building away from the gas station and carefully placed programmatic elements within the building to leverage and focus views toward the natural landscape.

La belle equipe is in an Art Nouveau building’s heart, classified as Historic Monument. This Thaï boxing hall, created by two friends and old champions, doesn’t look like all boxing gyms. Remy & Julien had the desire to create a place different as the traditional gyms. A unique and friendly place, where the exchange is the heart of the project.

The Albi Grand Theatre is going to transform the texture of the city as well as its cultural influence.
This building appears as an outstanding architectural symbol, on the outskirts of the historic centre.
We have given priority to the presence of the Grand Theatre instead of the cinemas, in order to organize around it a network of public spaces and of cultural facilities. The Grand Theatre will be its centre.
Movet is a company that literally originated in a garage. Today, the Movet brand is eponymous with outstanding competence in the field of conveyor belt technology. Because the capacity of the company’s rather makeshift headquarters had finally been reached, Studio Alexander Fehre was commissioned to design a new and more representative office space with an adjoining warehouse. The solution is a clever combination of different areas, so as to accommodate the diverse range of requirements in a limited space while retaining a spacious feel. The result is the ‘Movet Workshop’, which forms the epicentre of the space and functions as conference room, office kitchen and showroom in one. Contained behind an airy metal mesh façade, customers and visitors are welcomed here in the very heart of the office and thus immediately integrated into daily business. The new open-plan office structure communicates engagement, transparency and a marked team spirit – especially to the people working there.
