The residence is a weekend beach house for a semi retired couple with a large family and extensive corporate guests. The house was designed to entertain large amounts of guests for parties and extended stays. The house comprises and main wing as well as multiple guest wings containing bedrooms with ensuites, kitchens, living and entertainment spaces. The spaces needed to be flexible to cater for 2 people to 50 people at any one time.
FMD architects inherited the concept deign prepared by Tony Hobba Architects and was enegaged to develop the interior for the project.
VfB Stuttgart is the tradition-steeped football club of the state capital of Baden-Württemberg. The club, founded in 1893 as a “club for movement games”, has its home in the city district of Bad Cannstatt. In the immediate vicinity of the stadium is the club’s restaurant. A change of tenant presented the opportunity for a complete refurbishment of the building. List&Scholz are the young restauranteurs who have taken over the restaurant. “Cannstatter Jungs” and VfB fans themselves, they commissioned Ippolito Fleitz to design a clubhouse that can hold its own at the top of the first Bundesliga.

The Christ Hospital Joint and Spine Center, opened in September 2015, is a new model for integrated, patient-centered orthopedic care. Growing out of an SOM master plan for the hospital’s Cincinnati campus, the 381,000-square-foot, seven-story facility houses approximately 90 inpatient rooms and 12 surgical suites. The building is filled with natural light and flexible semi-public spaces offer a place of respite for caregivers and families. Patient rooms feature floor-to-ceiling windows and are organized and furnished to provide a soothing environment to patients and their families. Decentralized nursing desks, located next to patient rooms, place caregivers closer to those they serve and keep the patient floor quiet by dispersing activity.
Erected in the late 1980s by architects Kohn Pedersen Fox (KPF), 1250 René-Lévesque West is a well-known commercial building in Montreal. The huge curved façade, undisputable testimony of the postmodernist architecture, faces east and offers a stunning view of the city’s urban landscape.

Busan City suddenly had swollen by the influx of refugees during Korea War. The refugees had built irregular shape’s homes according to the topography of mountains in Busan City in a short time. Numerous alleys has stemmed from the relations of the houses. Now, 65 years after Korea war, the irregular houses’s urban fabric becomes a unique feature of Busan City. The view suddenly appearing through alleys and houses forms a distinguish urban landscape from other cities.
The project area is situated in a unique area of Bergen in Norway. Located just outside the historic city centre on the south side of Store Lungegårdsvannet near the Møllendal River, the site has a long history as an industrial area, including milling back to the Middle Ages, and storage for the city’s technical department in recent times. Much of the Møllendal area has for decades been inaccessible and unsuited for public use so making a fracture between two parts of the town. The project aims to reconnect and to give continuity to a new territory exploring transitions between land and water; the goal is to create the conditions for regenerating the area into an attractive and active waterfront neighborhood.
