Article source: Miriam Castells Studio Cugat Natura consists of 32 independent living apartments in Sant Cugat del Vallés, Barcelona. Located next to Sant Cugat´s Golf, the facilities are age-restricted multifamily rental properties that provide residents access to meals and among other services such as housekeeping, linen service, transportation, and social and recreational activities.
The project is divided into two areas: the private apartments and the public areas. The apartments offer a fully equipped kitchen, living room, accessible bathroom and an outdoor terrace. The public areas are located in the basement of the building offering a cinema, library, bar and restaurant, gym, hairdresser among others. Design lines and aesthetics are clean: the walls are nude. Neutral materials [concrete and oak] for walls and vertical surfaces, whilst Porcelanic and wooden flooring for vertical ones on the public areas. The outcome is a space of marked neutrality where residents are able to equip their apartments at their own will. The project endows the public spaces with natural light through skylights and large window openings which give the interiors shadow tones to maximize spaciousness and neatness. Raw functionality and furniture grant the project with a very specific colour palette which gives vitality and a colourful note to the space. Share this:RelatedContact Miriam Castells Studio
