 Image Courtesy © VAZIO S/A Besides employing lifeless elements, the garden also plays with the corridor, a useless and always avoided space in architectural plans: it is a series of parallel corridors activated by means of an inanimate natural element, and where the Festival visitors are encouraged to circulate and stay.  Image Courtesy © VAZIO S/A  Image Courtesy © VAZIO S/A The cedar branches were found nearby the garden area, many of them with traces of moss and peeling barks that will support another garden: as Dead Garden II is a wooden structure wraped with the same mesh used in nurseries, its ambience and shade will be suitable for the growth of additional moss along the year. Besides Vazio S/A, the other new gardens were designed by Snohetta (Oslo-New York, who designed the Ground Zero Memorial in NY) and With expected 200.000 visitors, the exhibition will be on show up to. The studio searches an active position in which the city and its problems are seen as triggers of new projects, and associates commissions of commercial nature with the production of cultural events, publications of books and essays, and researches that discuss new fronts in architecture and landscape design. Carlos published the books “History of the Void in BH” (Cosac Naify), “Entre: Architecture from the Performing Arts” (Artifice Books), and “Collateral Spaces” (ICC). He has shown his work at São Paulo Architecture Biennale; Pavillion de l’Arsenal, Paris; Venice Architecture Biennale; the RIBA, London; The Victoria & Albert Museum, London; Sao Paulo International Art Biennale; and other venues.
