This commercial center located at the middle of a development zone in Shenzhen creates a new neighborhood hub that knits the surrounding areas into a unified urban district.
Tangent to the border between the village and the forest, this rocky house that rests on the base of a small hill stands up after some sliding down the slope. Its presence is the landmark of the entry into a deep and clear forest where, as the poet says, the walker becomes a prisoner of silence and greenery.
The site is defined by a steep slope towards the privileged view of a forest that suggested a vertical organization of the requested program. The ground floor – the entrance to the residence, slightly elevated above the street – is the middle level of the building. The lower floor houses the social area, the service block and the master bedroom. The upper floor houses the children’s bedrooms.
The concept was to use a set of arched metal portals to create a sense of thresholds between different spaces, and to create a layered experience. They also frame the beautiful mountainous views of Southside Hong Kong .” – Kenny Kinugasa-Tsui, co-founder of Bean Buro
“The children’s play space is called a ‘Bean House’ inspired by fairy tales. It is made entirely in timber, with wiggly curves, two sleeping platforms, peg holes, and lots of storage.” – Lorène Faure, co-founder of Bean Buro]

Villa Korup was designed for a young family of six on the Danish island of Fyn after a fire destroyed their previous home.
The characteristic ‘three legged’ plan was developed in order to delineate the different aspects of the landscape, accentuating their qualities and creating three characteristic courtyard like spaces; a sunny south facing sloped area to the south, a protected kitchen garden to the east and an orchard cum playground to the west.
Our proposal was concerned with the renovation and refurbishment of an existing building that hosted an old taverna and was revamped as a bakery and coffee shop. It is a ground floor building constructed before 1955. Its positioned along the National Highway between Argos & Nafplio and as a result its use and the architectural design is predetermined by the constant flow of people and goods in this busy road. The existing building consisted of adobe walls and a timber roof with byzantine tiles as covers.
Gansberg district in Koliba is an exclusive residential complex formed by three residential villas stretching across the south-eastern slopes with panoramic views of Bratislava. Horizontally divided floors emphasized by freely shaped terraces and balconies copy the irregular geomorphological shape of the terrain and its contours. The entire complex is thus organically incorporated into the Koliba slope and creates various configurations of views of the city and of the hill, the patios and the surrounding villas. This creates a quite variable topography of views, but also of floor plans with terraces integrated into the terrain, in loggias, and in semi-open and roof terraces. The horizontal division is supported by the vertical structure of façades which underline the linear dynamics of the variability of full-glass window apertures and grey-and-white vertical stripes of decorated structured plaster resembling a forest parterre.
Thinking the future after global pandemic lock down. The Hualanco Community Center is an investigation of how architecture can help to revive cultural activities, from the Peruvian highlands to the desert region of Chile’s Atacama. The ephemeral structure is modular, removable, itinerant and protected by a textile membrane. We imagine that the return to outdoor life should be democratic, with alot of music, cinema, art, dance and typical foods.
Bangkok TRYP is a mixed residential project, and located in the city center with slight green space. Thus the design aims to create green environment for its residents and neighbors, by integrating a ‘vertical gardens’ into the building while expressing building programs; lobby, spa and parking area are on 1st floor, service apartment units on 2nd-4th floor, common facility on 5th floor and owner’s private residences on 6th and 7th floor.
