Expressive modern style house is designed in a lot surrounded by nature. Pine forests are on two sides of the lot. It was clients desire to find such an oasis in nature with a small river or creek, what became a specific task for Architects, because the flowing water divided land into two parts.
Plan B Guatemala was created in response to the disaster caused by the Volcán de Fuego eruption in June 2018. The ASIAPRODE Association initiated the project to construct 26 homes in order to cover the needs of the affected communities. In an open competition, DEOC Arquitectos came up with a proposal that meets the established requirements, the user’s profile, and the natural context.
The project consists of a permanent housing model for the displaced families: a 86m2 house within a plot of 8m by 19m. The construction is divided into two building blocks; the social-kitchen-bathroom zone is separated from the bedrooms by an interior courtyard. Circulation is minimized in order to guarantee the best usage of the different areas.
The project is located at the B2 Floor, Beijing Fun, Beijing Municipality, covering an area of 240 square meters. The client Teawith hopes to create a special fair space for the “New Craftsmen”, where the craftsmen can share their products and various lifestyles. From their points of view, pink is a kind of “free” color which has no labels, has nothing to do with age and is gender-neutral.
Based on this consideration, the architects divide the pink fair into two regions, the cloister-style exhibition area, nesting in center sharing area.
At the edge of a rural town lies a vacant plot, overlooking a small valley where there used to be a battlefield in the 17th Century. the new house tries not to block the views of the passers-by: all walls are placed in the direction of the valley, so that all the views stay unblocked.
At the center of the house is a hole, turned into a patio. the house whirls up like a snake on itself. all floors lead to the next level : there are no inside walls. every space had views throughout the house in a way that everything stays connected.
Materials try to blend the house in its surroundings : often there is a grey fog coming from the valley. the house is built in grey concrete, grey clay stone and old Barnwood. from far away the light grey volume blends, but on its approach the different materials and textures appear.
Our project is located in the middle of an old and compact urban area where historical buildings are lined up with the streets. We didn’t want to break this rhythm so we have also chosen to line up with the main street.
The shape of the building and its inclined façades respond to the wish of creating three articulated squares, more adapted to the neighborhood character, instead of a big square which, due to the scarce architectonic value of the adjacent buildings, we believe inappropriate.

Golden Jet Restaurant is located on the second floor of the newly opened departure waiting area of Chisinau International Airport. Being in a common space with the Air café hall, the restaurant stands out with its facade and a more refined elegant design. Visitors are offered places by the stained-glass window with a panoramic view of the surrounding area of the airport, or by a decorative fencing facade overlooking the waiting room and the cafe.
There is an open bar area to the right of the main entrance. The kitchen and cooking area are combined with the production one of the cafe.
archi5 was founded in 2003, the fruit of its founders’ common agency experience and the approach they share to architecture.
A context-based approach to projects is key : the site, the programme, the social and cultural challenges are all examined, analyzed and compared. These data are then transformed into questions.
The projects offer a dynamic and comprehensive response to those issues to the highest standard that has come to be archi5’s trademark.
British Fashion designer Bella Freud has collaborated with Maria Speake – co-founder of design and salvage mecca Retrouvius – to apply her cool-girl chic to Helios 710, a three bedroom penthouse in The Helios, a circular Grade II-listed building at Television Centre, the former BBC headquarters in White City.
Synonymous with elegant West-London style, Bella Freud’s beautifully made, covetable clothing is informed by a passion for music, art and cinema, and the beguiling irreverence of rock n’ roll glamour. For Helios 710, they have created an interior that echoes spaces dear to Bella’s heart, with art and objects that share cultural references familiar from her fashion.

The home designed by Rubén Muedra Estudio de Arquitectura is located in a small inner town of 1,000 inhabitants, to the south of Valencia, with a natural environment of great interest that gives rise to spectacular views from the house in medium and long distance.
The project is defined by two pure prismatic volumes, of different height, that as a response to the program of needs, and rotated among themselves 90 degrees, give rise to a large external patio on which the house overturns, and a double interior height that articulates the two floors. In response to the two white prisms, the exterior enclosure in anthracite gray, limits the private outdoor space, and gives privacy to the interior program of the ground floor.
