Small and mid-size companies often have trouble finding suitable office space in Amsterdam. The creative industry has seemingly unrealistic demands when it comes to office locations: an incubator of ideas, which is spacious and inspiring, with a unique design at a great location with car access. Salt is a response to these needs, providing small, high quality offices, each with a unique identity. The building forms part of Amsterdam’s port redevelopment Minervahaven, contributing to its ambition to become a new creative hub.
How would Wes Anderson design a chapel for Coffee?
Antilope Café is a new coffee Brand in Mexico. The 80m2 space is located within the Arboleda Development in Monterrey México and it represents the brand´s first physical space where the marriage of Chiapas coffee beans and Dulcinea´s kitchen (a local restaurant by the same owners) takes place. The design came through a series of challenges. On one hand we needed to provide a fresh and unique space that could assimilate the identity and values of the Antilope brand, the quality of it´s coffee and food, on the other hand we needed to avoid having the space feel gender specific. We proposed to create an open and bright space suitable for the worshiping of coffee — A chapel for coffee.
Penda reveals a residential high-rise for Tel Aviv that is defined by arches and cascading terraces and that responds to the broad display of the city’s Bauhaus era and the haptic materiality of its Old Town.
Measuring 116m in height, the condominium tower features 17.650 squaremeters of residential areas on 18 floors. The building will house a range of residential layouts from 1-bedroom to 4- bedroom apartments as well as penthouses with double-height spaces on its top. A cave-like pool and spa area will occupy the base of the building, while community areas like a yoga-studio, a restaurant and shelter spaces are shared on the first 2 floors and cores.
Campus Hoogvliet is a cluster of six buildings that together compose one academic and socially focused campus, located just outside of Rotterdam. These six new buildings–a sports center, an art studio, a safety academy, 100 residential units within one building, and two schools–have been plugged into a programmed tarmac that communicates the campus’ boundary, and includes custom designed seating, a running track, and other place-making denotations. The campus’ immediate surroundings are characterized by mid-twentieth century housing developments–which were prolifically constructed during its booming period of post-WWII growth–and the campus aims to rectify the social and cultural deterioration that coupled the demolition of this once historic village.
The site is a long shape facing the 4-lane highway on the north side and 4 meters wide on the south side, giving void to the townscape along these roads. The plan described here is building a dental clinic specializing in aesthetic dentistry and pediatric dentistry here.
Considering the empiric position of the patient, we feel that a dental clinic should be abele to contain various parts according to the different activities. For example, reception → waiting → tooth brushing corner → treatment room → X-ray → treatment room → waiting → payment. In order to translate the act of movement into the structure of architecture itself, we considered each rooms of the clinic as the destinations and transposed “→” into an aisle connecting them together. Specifically, in order to conform to the directionality of the site, a long aisle is set at the center of the building, and necessary rooms that become destinations are arranged on both sides of the building. In the aisle, processing was done on the ceiling surface by whitening the surface deceives the human perception of the real size of the room and ends as a door that allows us to feel the extensibility of the space. As a result, the whole planned as a sensory outside space where the state of light changes throughout the day. The sensory outside which changes according to the natural light installed in the center of the building has connection with each room, thereby preventing excessive consideration on privacy from which leads to a sense of limitation.

The site is a residential area located in the urbanization control area near Nagoya city, development by developers is rapidly progressing around. The clients are a married couple just before the retirement age and his mother who lived there for many years, and the 50 – year – old wooden house where the owner lives at the time was built on the site. The requirements from them were each private rooms and a large floor area beyond the current situation.
The Zwarte Silo is an important iconic building which marks the beginning of the harbor area. It lends itself perfectly well for a large public function that attracts people from the region and bring liveliness into the area.
