The proposal of the building is to generate a construction that will be used for conventions, seminars and banquets supporting up to a thousand people. The organic geometry of the building developed under a circular grid, generates continuity between spaces, a stimulation to flow through them. The building sinuous shell line grants it with a kind character.
This reform Project for the existing Güime Civic Center (CCGU) is located in the Municipality of San Bartolomé in Lanzarote Island, Spain. The facility is located in a site of 2217m2 with an ‘L’ shape and oriented N-S in its longitudinal configuration.
The approach to the problem of merging the urban fabric that fits the “pragal civic center” should have the evolution of the “square” throughout history as a basic idea.
The creation of a homogenous block, with a permeable interior, creating zones of pathways, zones of permanence and areas for contemplation, in which interaction with the palace of Justice and the tensions created thereby contributing to the integration, were the starting points for the design.
The Bicentennial Civic Center is located on the former property of Ferrocarril Mitre. The new civic center will house all of the Public admission employees of the province of Cordoba as well as the convention center that will equip an adequate space for congress and events in the touristic city of Cordoba.
