Monday, February 25th, 2019

Article source: ater.architects

PUNKRAFT is a craft beer bar just around the corner of a historic pedestrian street in Podol, the Kyiv downtown. This basement spot, packed with craft beer fans these days, used to host a cocktail bar.

Our task was to change the schematic layout of the premises, keeping its kitchen and toilet facilities location, to equip cold room for beer kegs storage and completely redesign the interior including the entrance and guest zones.

Hotel LN Garden in Nansha, China by Studio 3LHD

Thursday, February 14th, 2019

Article source: Studio 3LHD

Located in southern China’s Guangdong province, on the Zhu Jiang (Pearl River) estuary, the LN Garden is part of the Nansha Seaside Park. The hotel has a surface of 61068 m2 and 365 rooms. The building forms a unique entity with the surrounding landscape – the shaded and sunny elements of the design (water, lawns and paved surfaces) rhythmically form the spatial dynamics. The main public space of the hotel has a view to the beautiful bay to the west and Seaside Park on the east side of the hotel. Two vertical lobbies and a dominant water feature allow for a gentle flow of space. The transition between outdoor areas and interior spaces is softened by the use of exterior vegetation throughout the lobby.

Jerini House in Bajčići, Croatia by Branka Juras, Architectural Design Studio

Monday, February 4th, 2019

Article source: Branka Juras, Architectural Design Studio

In this project there is a conflict between two necessary requirements, in other words between the necessity to preserve our architectural inheritance and the necessity to develop modern architecture. Our towns and villages are neither to petrify as museums nor to lose their character due to a total lack of regard for old buildings. Resolving this is not easy.

It is important for us to ask right questions at the right place, to know that the architectural quality of a building is not sufficient for succesful integration, and what is decisive in the quality of the relationship produced between old and new.

Winovnik in Dnipro, Ukraine by Azovskiy Pahomova architects

Thursday, January 31st, 2019

Article source: Azovskiy Pahomova architects

A stunning bar Winovnik was opened at the center of Dnepr, which is ready to offer the best wine in this city. We have done everything to make all the ideas real, the space, where all attention belongs to wine! At the main hall you can taste 30 kinds of wine and try chef dishes and at the adjacent space you have an opportunity to buy a bottle of wine that you like. Creating a design of the café we were focused on neutral tones and a feeling of lightness. A monochrome of the brick has it’s continuation in calm colors of furniture. Luxury green curtains complement the main color palette and divide space into functional zones.

Comfort Town in Kiev, Ukraine by ARCHIMATIKA

Wednesday, January 16th, 2019

Article source: ARCHIMATIKA

The first residential complex in Ukraine based on the block development principle, instead of customary Soviet micro-district type.

Different number of stories of adjacent buildings (ranging from 2 to 16 floors) forms a picturesque image of every street. A restored park with perennial trees, sculptures and a fountain, block development, pedestrian courtyards where you can play with children – all that makes this residential neighborhood intimate and cozy. It has set a new level of quality in a residential building due to the block development. Thus, the industrial territory turned into a good living environment and the status of the district as a whole increased. Residents have received a complex, comfortable environment with green pedestrian courtyards. Full infrastructural service includes fitness clubs, stores, kindergartens and schools.

Comfort Town is one of the most successful residential property projects in Ukraine. Sales indicators peaked at over 200 apartments per month.

Recreational Community Center Le Lignon in Switzerland by STENDARDO MENNINGEN ARCHITECTES

Wednesday, December 19th, 2018

Article source: STENDARDO MENNINGEN ARCHITECTES

The newly constructed recreational center known as the “Jardin Robinson” occupies a strategic position surrounded by the wooded water-banks of the Rhone on one side and the public facilities of the Lignon district with an emblematic expression of a 1960’s concrete on the other side.

The building is located on a steep slope between the Lignon school and a pedestrian path leading to the water-banks of the Rhone. This position required the design and construction of a new access ramp located at the main entrance of the building for ease of accessibility.
