Envisioning multiuse space for entrepreneurs, designers, and developers, and additional ground floor retail, the new 215,000-square-foot Center of Developing Entrepreneurs (CODE) will act as a connective ligature between the institutional, commercial, and the historic avenues of the city. The project will feature an open-air, pedestrian gallery that will promote public circulation from the Mall to Water Street. This will be a dynamically engaging new approach to the west end of the Mall. At the center of the site, there will be an exterior courtyard with a sunken water feature and amphitheater for public and private outdoor events. As the building steps up from the Mall to Water Street, you will glimpse a series of planted rooftop terraces. Each of these outdoor terraces will serve as work and gathering spaces for tenants on each floor and provide panoramic views of the Blue Ridge Mountains.
In this post pandemic era, operation of cinemas and future development of film industry has become a hot topic in current society. After a long period of business close-down and limiting audience capacity due to the pandemic, a problem gradually appeared in front of the public – cinema owners should have done a deeper analysis on how to develop their cinema’s commercial value and expand its features in order to adapt to the rapidly changing society.
Last year, we created another FAB Cinema in Xi’an and brought the scenes behind the big screen into the public space. This time in Taiyuan IF Center, FAB Cinema collaborated with Zhongshuge to create an innovational cinema experience, and we are invited to design this cross-brand project.
International architecture practice, 10 Design, has won a competition to design Landmark 55 in the emerging Starlake Urban Area of Hanoi, Vietnam.
Located in the heart of a prominent district, 10 Design’s proposal for this mixed use destination will become a new icon on the skyline of Hanoi. The development includes two towers that create a visual gateway and provide active pedestrian connections through the urban context.
The new Macau Central Library will be located by the Tap Seac square in the historical center of Macau, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is situated on the site of the former Hotel Estoril (designed by the Macau- born Portuguese architect, Alfredo Victor Jorge Álvares), which was the first casino resort in Macau opened in 1962 and has been vacant since the 1990s.
Libraries are dynamic and continually changing. While clearly a contemporary structure within a traditional context, the new Central Library will provide a forward-thinking platform for influencing its surroundings. The adjacent square will become an integral part of the library, creating an activated public realm, which will encourage visitors to use all the public amenities that new library can offer.

The International Sports and Cultural Exchange Centre is a community landmark building that integrates sports, culture and social interaction in Futian District of Shenzhen. The project is located on Meilin Street, adjacent to the urban green space in the west, and a main urban road in the south. It is in a favorable location, facing a pleasant urban interface with three subway stations around it.
The new Van B residential project, located on Infanteriestrasse next to the future ‘Kreativquartier’ (creative quarter) in Munich, offers a completely new form of housing that reimagines the future of urban living.
As a prototype for modern city dwelling, Van B is designed to cater to changing demographics and multiple family constellations. With its highly flexible apartments, outdoor and shared communal spaces and striking facade, Van B offers a new form of urban living.
The Green Rooms from Amro Living is a sleek, new, build-to-rent scheme located at MediaCityUK in Salford and offering a luxurious living experience surrounded by fantastic landmarks and a thriving neighbourhood. The design of the scheme’s extensive ground-floor amenity spaces is by Manchester-based architecture and interior design practice 74, who already have a strong reputation for award-winning student amenity spaces and are now bringing that expertise to the BTR (build-to-rent) market.
The initial demand for the project was the construction of a set of single-family terraced houses in an allotment in the expansion area of the city of Sobral, located in the semi-arid region of Ceará. When analyzing the 25 lots of the project, it was noticed that its diversity – 11 lots of 175.00 m2, 13 lots of 210 m2 and 01 lot of 275.00 m2 – allowed for variation in the solutions. Thus, the proposal resulted in two projects: the MBV2 Houses and the MBV2 Mixed Building.
About the MBV2 Houses, the projects dealt with two distinct areas: private, referring to the solution of the residence itself, and public, since the complex acquires an urban complex scale.
International design and innovation office CRA-Carlo Ratti Associati and Bouygues Immobilier have unveiled the design of ILOW, a new building in Paris that aims to act as a bridge between La Défense, the French capital’s financial powerhouse, and the nearby Tours Nuages (Cloud Towers), one of the most iconic social housing projects of the postwar era. The building, designed in collaboration with Agence d’Architecture Willerval et Associés, is shaped like two open arms connecting two different socio-economic neighborhoods. Moreover, it leverages parametric design to generate a facade that reinterprets the Tours Nuages. CRA has filed building permits to the local municipal authority.
