Blue Table Post, an ultra-modern video/audio post-production complex with an artisan-based creative philosophy and a high technology core is already drawing stars to its brand new, top-flight suites. A long-time dream of triple Emmy-winning editor Oliver Lief, the complex was designed to support his creative talents and, those of Emmy-winning recording mixer/sound designer Rich Cutler and senior colorist/vfx artist Begonia Colomar. Situated in a handsomely renovated five story building, in Brooklyn’s burgeoning Boerum Hill neighborhood, Blue Table Post is a collaboration by architects Craig Shillito, Bob Kellner and Chris Inthurburn, and Architectural /Acoustic consultants, WSDG-Walters-Storyk Design Group. The first project in the door was Michelle Obama’s CNN “We Will Rise” documentary directed by Tony Gerber, for which Blue Table handled all of the editing, sound-mixing, color grading, graphics and vfx. They had the pleasure of collaborating on site with Meryl Streep for nine days of intensive writing and VO.
Building a cultural center in Beaumont-Hague, in Cotentin, means to integrate an architectural project that takes benefits from the landscape qualities of this piece of peninsula. On the shore, sunken roads are planted of wooded hedges that protects from the wind, and becomes vegetal vaults to filter the light over time. These landscape elements are secular forms from the site culture but also inspiring spaces that can be employed for the design.
Live music club (1000 sq. m.), re-creation of midnight flight under a starry sky.
NIGHT FLIGHT is a live music club that spreads on 1000 sq. m. Our design was inspired by its name. We re-created the notion of a midnight walk/ flight under a starry sky. We situated the stage in the center of the space in order to achieve 360º contact with the audience. The seating is arranged in three tiers + one balcony. We created a boudoir for the VIP tier that overlooks the main hall.
NEW YORK: “These speakers sound OK, but that’s not good enough. Something isn’t right with this room.”*In May 2014, Harman International acquired an expansive space at 527 Madison Avenue at 54th Street for its flagship experience center. Designed to showcase their full range of consumer and audiophile equipment, the street level would be devoted to Harman’s AKG®, Harman Kardon®, JBL®, and other respected brands. The lower level would feature a screening room and, behind a discrete sliding door, a private listening room outfitted with Harman’s premium Mark Levinson® amplifiers, and award-winning Revel Salon2 Speakers, a CD/SACD Disc player, and a turntable for vinyl aficionados. After six months of construction, the showroom and its listening room were ready for a trial run. But, despite the meticulous planning and design, it was clear to the true audiophiles in the room that something was amiss.
The Arvo Pärt Centre will be an instrument to make the landscape sing.
The Northern Estonian Forest is full of music: the sorrow of the Southern wind, the crackling of the branches, the whispering of the leaves, the screeching of the swallows, the silence of the snow… Perhaps the remote singing of a Runic tune… The Baltic singing traditions are inevitably linked to the Estonian nature, and the Arvo Pärt Centre should become an opportunity to evidence that relation, to make it physical.
After four years of construction, the “House of Music” in Aalborg, Denmark was ceremoniously opened on March 29, 2014 by the Danish Queen Margrethe II.
This cultural centre was designed by the Viennese architectural studio Coop Himmelb(l)au as a combined school and concert hall: its open structure promotes the exchange between the audience and artists, and the students and teachers. “The idea behind the building can already be read from the outer shape. The school embraces the concert hall,” explained Wolf D. Prix, design principal and CEO of Coop Himmelb(l)au.

A new function (a place for music) for an old (and silent) building (a former bus depot) represents an architectural+technological challenge and a poetic content at the same time.
A new building rises inside the old one, and includes all the structural and technological solutions required. The new building does not touch the old one, which remains visible and gets more value from this addition.
The project presents a philharmonic in Constanţa city, Romania. From a socio-demographic point of view, the city of Constanţa is the 3rd in the country as number of inhabitants and it is considered the city with the largest ethnic and cultural mix. The site proposed for our project is situated on the Eastern border of the Tăbăcăriei Lake, at the crossroads of two important areas of development: a touristic area and a local one, this being an important criterion in choosing the emplacement.
Beyond the traditional amenities of fine dining, exotic libations, and live music, the Fenix introduces a template for a new form of creative and social interaction — on site and online. Conceived by Laura van Galen, a visionary Bay Area CEO, the new 150-seat super club has been designed to share live performances by talented indigenous and celebrated world-renowned artists with a local, national and eventually international audience on location and over the web at www.livestream.com/fenixlive.
Located in Pontault Combault, a medium sized town about 30 km from Paris, this cultural project is a mix of several programs.
