We have been novated to carry out a change of use of a space, located in the first floor of a residential building in the expansion district of Bilbao, into a dwelling. Said space was previously destined to provide an activity connected with the tertiary sector.
Such original space was divided into five small offices, two toilets and a L-shape corridor that gave access to all these facilities.
Due to the radical change of use of the space, we decided not to keep any existing element and emptied the space completely, as a preliminary step to establish the new layout of the dwelling.
Neology use to be located in an old house downtown Mexico City, in the Colonia Condesa, where the original spaces were adapted with workspaces; but the growth of the company and the distribution of the house caused the development to be compromised.
In addition to the growth, the environment within the company in small private spaces generated independent worlds within the areas of the company; reaching extremes where people were only known through huge mail chains.

MVRDV Designs Renovation of a Listed Heritage Building on an Island in Wrocław
MVRDV has released its proposed design for the Concordia Hub, a renovation and extension of a 19th-century listed building on Słodowa Island in Wrocław, Poland. MVRDV’s design retains the façade of the existing building and adds a contemporary extension to the rear, creating a focal point for the neighbouring park and a destination that will attract more visitors to the Island.
The German Army used Słodowa Island as a base for artillery in 1945, meaning that almost all of the structures on the island were destroyed during the Siege of Breslau in the final months of World War 2. The existing building is notable as the only remaining survivor after a handful of other structures were demolished, with the rest of the island now serving as a popular public park at the heart of the city, and the host of a number of festivals and cultural events.
Eventscape was contracted to engineer, fabricate and install the interior and exterior curved vertical fin elements for the renovation of a ten story building that houses a number of high profile companies. Reflecting the building’s proximity to the ocean at Stamford Harbor are the 60 wave-like acrylic ceiling fins with LED edge lights inside the lobby. The wave pattern, also repeated on the exterior, makes a dramatic impact upon arrival. Situated on either side of the main entrance are thirty-four, 20-foot tall steel fins with integrated lighting, which create a sinuous wave of light.

The idea of renovating the 1917 townhouse and make it Hype Studio’s new headquarters came in the end of 2015. It seemed like the perfect place to put into practice the concepts we believe and pursue in our work.
It was the opportunity to create a work space integrated with the vibrant urban life of Cidade Baixa, a bohemian neighborhood deeply connected with Hype Studio’s history.
Six decades after Congress enshrined its mission in law, NASA marks its diamond anniversary with the groundbreaking of a brand-new centerpiece for its Cleveland-based Glenn Research Center.
The birthplace of a wealth of now commonplace innovations, the facility consists of a constellation of primarily World War II-era brick buildings, which, despite their semi-circular distribution, lacked a central focus.
Thus, tasked with creating much-needed office and collaborative space, TEN Arquitectos recognized a further opportunity. As a firm for whom form does not just follow function — but is, rather, the most perfect and precise expression of it, they opted to create a nexus: a building with amenities and opportunities to engage the entire campus population, serving as both anchor and core.

Completed in the winter of 2016, this modified shipping container is our new office. The practice was formed in 2005 to focus on small, well-crafted buildings. After working in my home office with one staff member for many years, we decided to expand the practice (a little).
Lifestyle is important to me and my wife, so the decision was made to expand to the back yard rather than to a remote commercial space. The goal was to have the benefits of working from home, while having an independent space for staff, a place to conduct meetings with clients and contractors, and to simply have more room to do our work. The self sufficient building contains a kitchenette, washroom, printer / network cabinet and an open studio space. The small meeting space can be configured in a number of ways, and the table can join the desk for model making.
