A flourishing multi-disciplinary strategic branding & creative agency located in downtown Birmingham, Alabama, found themselves rapidly outgrowing their existing office space. Chief among their goals for their new headquarters was ensuring that collaboration and creativity stayed at the core of their identity as their agency grew in organizational complexity. Birmingham-based ArchitectureWorks worked closely with Cayenne Creative in the development of a space fueled by the power of communication and collaboration and that promotes people, passion, and ideas.
The project we designed is a teahouse that specially provides non-pesticide tea, it located in Hangzhou, China. Hangzhou is one of the famous production areas of Long Jing tea. Those steep tea hills can be seen on the edge of the West Lake. In those tea hills, many pieces of terraces farming are scattered around the hills. Inspired by terrace fields, we though we can bring these great landscapes into this design program tea house.
The project is the sales center of Jialangyuan, a residential property developed by Tianqi Group. It’s located in Tianshui City, Gansu, China, which is the birthplace of Chinese legends and an important place along the ancient Silk Road. The long history and rich cultural context have made the city inclusive.
Interplay of light and shadows
The foyer features a symmetric aesthetic. The transparent pendant lamps resemble flowing water, and full-height emerald shelves erect in the space in a composed manner, looking like towering hills. The overall space features a color palette of green, white, brown, black, red and gold, which are mixed and matched perfectly to guide visitors to explore the charming space. A traditional Chinese zither and a mortar are placed on a long desk, along which visitors can sit and chat in a relaxing way. Just as the ancient Chinese philosopher Confucius said, “Isn’t it a great pleasure to have friends coming from afar”.
The new “Event Space” at the São Paulo Google Office, in Brazil, has a program configured basically by a foyer, an auditorium and a multipurpose room, organized in a linear sequence within a lofty double-height space located on the top floor of the iconic Patio Malzoni building at Avenue Faria Lima. Once the space, in plan, is inevitably divided by the requirements of the program and back of house areas, the ceiling takes on a scenographic leading role, establishing spatial and conceptual continuity.
The project is located on Srinakarin Road, one of the main roads of Southern Bangkok not far from Suvarnabhumi Airport with connection to the airport rail link. It targets at both travelers who stay within this semi-suburban area and who would make a journey further to the central. Lining in a row on the narrow plot of land, this 7-storey hotel with rooftop is divided into two buildings, connecting by a hotel lobby. The second floor consists of a dining area and a service counter while 92 guest rooms are on the upper floors. On the rooftop of the front building is a place for a control room but the rooftop of the back building provides space for meeting and banquet. The overall utility space is 5,365 square meters.

Blessed with convictions and dreams, Sunac-Smart Valley is located in the center of the city, upholding the care and original intentions of the early days of the heart and aiming to build the “South China Top Entrepreneurship Silicon Valley” with the goal of building a sense of space for the future.
Located between major highways of Istanbul, D-100 and TEM, in the proximity of Sabiha Gökçen Airport in Pendik, Istanbul, the project transforms an old industrial chemical factory land into a technology company campus for one of the most dynamic Turkish banks.
Inspired by the natural topography around the site and the desire of creating a clear contrast to the surroundings’ unorganized urban fabric, a crystal volume as the main working environment is lying gently over several artificial hills sheltering various functions such as two 600 and 200 seats auditoriums, educational meeting spaces, cafeterias, lounges on bridges, data center and many other functions. With approximately 142,000 sqm total built area and 51,000 sqm site are, the campus programme is configured into three major sections: a 53,500 sqm open offices, a 16,000 sqm auditorium, educational spaces and cafeterias, a 72,500 sqm for parking, a Tier 4 data center, a sport center, common spaces, archives and service areas.
Holmen Aquatics Center is a continuation of Holmen beach, by protecting and reinforcing the site’s natural qualities. The footprint occupied by the building is replaced with a roof garden that further enhances the experience of the beach with spectacular views. The focus point of the project’s concept is the activation of the building’s roof as an integral part of Holmen beach recreation area. The grassy roof slopes towards the south and provides an uninterrupted view over Oslo fjord’s isles and reefs.
Main entrance, reception, changing rooms and swimming pool hall are located on the building’s main level, rising over the lawn that slopes up to the building. The lower level houses gym, multifunction hall, technical spaces and staff facilities.
Located in the heart of Shanghai and within 45 minutes drive of two international airports, the convenient location makes it a breeze to travel to nearby attractions, such as: the Shanghai Film Museum, the Adidas Football Park and the beautiful Dong’an Park, etc. through easily accessible means like trains and metro. we had the pleasure to renovate the 1800 sqm basement into an ideal working space, consisting of fully equipped private and shared area as well as entertainment and relaxation corners.
LOM architecture and design collaborated with RocketSpace to create a brand new co-working space in Angel, north London as their first new facility outside San Francisco where alumni include Uber, Blippar and Spotify. The London campus, with flexible workspace for up to 1,500 people, is the result of a successful partnership with NatWest.
The new space includes a former underground bank vault, with the 1980s building stripped back to its original concrete frame, revealing the blast proof reinforced structure, coffered ceilings and brickwork. A utilitarian workplace design includes exposed services, clean lines, steel and concrete with accent colours. LOM also created bespoke wayfinding and environmental graphics.
