Bale (Valle in Italian) is a small village in Istria peninsula, Croatia with mostly agricultural population of 1000 people. The project for the new sports hall has been faced with the rich historical, cultural and social Mediterranean context. Therefore any new architectural interpolation had to have a respectful approach to the environment. The solution has been found in interpreting the traditional ways of building by new technologies.
The Neudorf area of Strasbourg is undergoing a major programme of redevelopment to fill the void that currently separates the city centre from its southern neighbourhoods. This urban project particularly exploits the site’s central location and the pleasant canal-side landscape, proposing densification as an alternative response to the sprawl of housing and facilities on the edges of the city.
Musholm is located at the beautiful Danish coastline and pushes the potential of accessible architecture. In fact, it is recognized as one of the world’s most accessible holiday, sports and conference resorts for people with disabilities. The expansion of Musholm is divided into two sections in the form of a new multi-purpose sports hall and a number of new holiday flats. The multi-purpose sports hall is located at the heart of the resort, while the flats are located in its periphery.
The Hacine Cherifi gymnasium (1) forms part of the same development as the Paul Chevallier schools complex, another Tectoniques project for the town of Rillieux-La-Pape (69). Next to the schools with their pleated, green roofs, its size makes it an imposing, yet silent, neighbour.

The building is located in an area of difficult geological, topographical and accessibility conditions. The choice of this location, near the city park, the outdoor swimming pools, the sports hall and schools, aims to create a center of educational activities capable of producing a momentum for the consolidation and upgrading of the urban environment of this part of the city. For the viability of the land, it was necessary to design a new route that by continuing the existing fabric, will fix part of the urban expansion around the existing core.
The idea of form is based on the light (its ubiquity through-clock, variable lighting conditions) and the clarity of assumptions – referring to the bright, noble side of sports and competitive sports.

The expansion of the existing sports hall is the result of a competition and left little margin of freedom because of a limited perimeter. Due to its position, the new extension reinforces the western boundary with the countryside and takes advantage of the break in terrain in order to reduce the impact of volume on the site. The quest for continuity with the existing building dictates the rules in terms of extension volume. The “fusional” approach adopted towards the existing structure allows to define a single entrance for the three sports halls.

The purpose here is to give a high school consistent with the city of Gisors. An institution rooted in a city of human scale and rich historical references. A city which kept his medieval past and his contemporary rural environment.
Historically the two high schools are adjacent, now closely linked by the administration and running, it is time to unite Louise Michel and Louis Aragon high schools.
