The project team abandons redundant decorations and furniture, and uses concise spatial lines to make the space the most natural and simple state, bringing people, objects, and spaces closer together, aiming to create a relaxing and comfortable resting place for residents.
Created by the design team, there are not only compatible and comfortable meeting spaces and dining and kitchen spaces, but also a bay window reading area, a master room with bathroom, fun children’s space, walk-in cloakroom and other new urban family lifestyles.
A case study on Ozark Modernism. The Case Study Residence harkens back to the post-WWII Case Study Houses project sponsored by Arts and Architecture magazine. Just as the original project was an experimentation in modern American residential architecture, the Case Study Residence seeks to define and embody “Ozark Modernism” in an example of single-family residential architecture. For the firm, Case Study Residence is an opportunity to test a hypothesis, develop a specific regional vocabulary within our practice, and to reaffirm our mission statement.
Investing in building your residence is a daunting task to have, you have to filter the right architect that will give you the right product to execute. Every house we design has its own soul and story, and that is where we took the project moving forward. Situated along the main artery of a known residential enclave in the heart of metro manila, the site was presented with a challenge: a huge regulatory building setback eating up the lot and an array of houses that monotonously line up the street.

Its creator has named it Alma (soul), and this premium new hairdressing concept is all about wellbeing, caring, comfort and health as the fundamental basis of appearance. To host this “alma” and keeping in mind the same brand values, we have designed this sensuous, suggestive and ethereal space that ends up being a “wellness treatment” on its own. The Project is situated in Tetuan Street in Santander. It is one of the main spots of the gastronomy activity in the whole city where the traditional seafood restaurant are abundant. “La Hermosa de Alba” proposes a different cuisine, based on the product of the land and applying different culinary techniques, in a casual, innovative and fresh environment.
House’s owners, both husband and wife are both aeroplane pilot, which is a career that takes long work periods in a very small area like cockpit. They all rarely have body movement or touching natural air when working, meanwhile each other’s schedules don’t match completely. To solve those problems, we thought of how to create spaces to enable them to took deep breaths of the fresh air and able to see each other every time they want.
The apartment H is located along Medena Street in a building block from the ‘40s. The three-room apartment lacks the high ceilings and axial enfilade which are a staple of the surrounding apartments built during the time of The First Czechoslovak Republic (1918 – 1938). Despite this, with its rational disposition, the apartment remains evocative of these spatial principles. The central axis of the original corridor spans the apartment from the entrance through the main living space, and continues through the double-wing glazed door to the master bedroom. The living space concept therefore kept its Old Town character, even despite its smaller size and orientation away from the street and into the common courtyard.
This hillside home is 2600 square feet with two bedrooms. Similar to its sibling shoreline home, Seaview Escape, it is done in the Pacific Northwest-style, with wood floors and an expansive two-story glazing allowing a view of the mountains from the upper balcony. Cantilevered wood “floating” stair treads lead to a library overlooking the double-height living and dining space below. Beach glass and nautical light fixtures were chosen for the bathrooms to bring a coastal feel indoors. A stone mass wall with corten panels provides the focal point of the living space, housing a fireplace and media center while providing separation from the master suite. The house is connected to a wooded pathway that leads to the beach.
Located at the edge of a suburban shopping centre, Pizza Depot’s frontage addresses the adjacent car park with a bold new face. Reimagined by Benjamin Fretard of Fretard design, the re-design of the existing 70 square-metre retail shop front was envisioned to establish a presence in the area: to be immediately visible and distinctly recognizable.
