Context
The building was originally an old wooden shed in very poor condition – a strong candidate for demolition.
The challenge was to find ways to develop and optimize the spaces within a volume that could not be modified due to planning by-laws.
On the last path before the earth falls away into these , a small country house is tucked into a nembankment. Introverted on the edge of the cliffs, it protects it self from the wind sand the ocean spray. Inside, piles of book sares tacked in every corner and recess.The rhythm of the day is marked by the turning of pages and punctuated by the coming sand going of the house cats.
New Health clinic is a sympathetic, small-scale public building. Location is adjacent to Mäkelänrinne senior assisted living and care center. Building is mostly surrounded by small batches of pine forest.

“Steel House“ is a custom-made space designed to satisfy the client’s dreams: it’s a luxurious villa set in the venetian countryside, that combine together wellness, aesthetic and functionality. The aesthetic aspect well dialogues with the environment, drawing light shapes and bright spaces relating with the outdoor. The building has only one level which faces the garden and the swimming pool. The large windows let light and air come into the building and let people live in continuity both internal and external places during summertime. The porch holds an external living room with a fireplace, for barbeque and party moments.
This holiday house for a family of four is located in the north of Portugal. It’s shape is defined by the same number of individual volumes.They have similar dimensions but distinct orientations. Three of the volumes are orthogonally organized around a core, whilst a fourth rotates to match the direction of an existing neighbouring building. The proximity between the two constructions led to a desired dialogue. The modest dimensions of the existing building determined the scale of the house while the vernacular identity influenced its layout. Each volume has a two slope roof. Besides emphasizing its individuality it enabled to increase the plasticity of the composition.
As a consequence of the global economic recession and increase of centralization, architects worldwide take on the challenge of designing small houses. The design ideas are often proportionally inverted by the sizes.
The Dune House, half-sunk into the dunes on the northern coast of the island of Terschelling, rises over the landscape and looks over the dunes providing a breath-taking view of the North Sea.
Designing a bank is always a delicate affair. On the one hand it is important to highlight the transparency and accessibility necessary to an institution that holds our money. On the other hand, it is always necessary to ensure a sense of security and robustness. The exterior of the building looks for that, the ground floor is transparent, easy to see through and access, the upper floors have less fenestrations and more solid construction.
Architectural Studio Sboev3 Architect shared with us the project cottage «Roman-house», which will be built on a plot of land near St. Petersburg. In this house will be to live a family of 4-eh man.
Compositional techniques and concept forms used in the design process are not something new and special, because They are widely distributed in the architecture of individual dwellings European masters. Therefore, the main objective in the design process was the creation of a kind of compromise in the context of the ordinary, traditional building of cottage settlement.
The Valley House is shaped and adapted to the contours of a northwest-facing valley. Viewing down to the nearby city and river beyond, the house is centered on this valley outlook.
