The house is located in a dense residential alley at the heart area of District 10, Ho Chi Minh City (in Vietnamese is “Quận 10” that’s why the house named Q10). Like many other typical row houses in Vietnam, Q10 House faced a challenge of creating something different but feasible with very limited budget, other saying is to balance between creativity and efficiency, and more importantly, works well with living style of the owners.
Looking to connect its future to the past, Vail Systems, a communications software developer, found a perfect home in the former Chicago Daily News pressroom. The once industrial space has been transformed into a collaborative environment that inspires innovation. Unique structural elements organize functional requirements. Staff is located in large reconfigurable areas, while meeting spaces are organized under mezzanines and catwalks.

What makes a weekend house? What sets it apart from any other property? Young architects GAFPA fancied to land in Wachtebeke what could be a weekend house. The project earned them aspecial mention during the recent Belgian Building Awards. The weekend house exemplifies an idiosyncratic oeuvre that ranges from staging exhibitions to landscape projects.
It is a nursery school that was constructed in the new land readjustment area.In the site, there is “Satoyama”, a special type of natural environment that is influenced by human beings, which has the affluent nature that is uncommon in Tokyo. By readjustment of the land, the affluent nature as well as original view and experience of the Satoyama where people were connected have been lost.
An innovative new primary school has recently opened its doors to local children and is set to pave the way for Scottish primary schools of the future.In January 2012 Scottish Futures Trust (SFT) issued an invitation to tender for a reference primary school design as part of Scotland’s £1.8 billion Schools for the Future programme, which aims to rebuild or refurbish some of the country’s poorest schools.
The community of Soule Xiberoa villages and the Haute Soule tourist office decided to develop their tourism by transforming the former home of Dr Elisseche in Tardets (64) into a tourist centre for the Soule Valley. This town house boasts an extraordinary location as it stands right in the village square.
Originally built in 1939, the Hambly House is one of only a handful of Art Moderne houses to be found in Ontario. The original building, built for Jack Hambly, is a striking example of streamlined late Art Deco in Hamilton; the flat-roofed building sports an archetypal curved corner with speed-striped stucco walls, nautical-inspired detailing including a porthole window, and a prominent front door surround.
Looking like a missing tooth, this project helped to complete a gap in the urban fabric of this intimate residential row house street in Chicago. The row-houses were built in the 1890’s, showing wear and demolition over the years. Infilling this small lot provided challenges for the new residence; to not disturb adjacent 100 year old structures, party wall encroachments and to respect the existing scale of the street. The shoring of the adjacent structures and the house’s new foundations required complex design and construction, including a cantilevered concrete foundation wall to avoid interfering with the adjacent party wall footing.
‘Pavilion Library’ project is commissioned by Seoul Innovation Park and Seoul city. 100,000m2 site was occupied by Ministry of food and drug safety for last 60 years and the intension of the project is to revitalize and open the gate to the public for its first time. Currently, number of social companies and startups are gathered and occupied to solve social issues of Seoul. The Seoul city governments decided to open up the complex to vitalize natural interaction between the tenants and citizens.
The building is situated a stone’s throw from the sea in southern Höllviken in the south of Sweden. The area is rich with tall pine trees, and this plot is no exception. The project comprises three buildings: a residence for the client, a garage, and a small cottage for an aging relative.
