E.I. is the new facade of a series of warehouses dated back to the ’80s, situated at the east gate of Pordenone. The expansion is designed to accommodate new offices and give a unified appearance to the complex, currently fragmented both in terms of color and shape. The particular geometry solves organically these dissonant moments: tectonic components (pillars, beams, etc..) and programmatic exigencies (openings, entrances, etc..) have been integrated into a single body, in fact, the mass of the building is stretched to generate ground supports and tears to open the interior to natural light.
The Pearl Brewery Redevelopment Master Plan and the adaptive reuse of the Full Goods Warehouse are serving as a model and catalyst for green urban revitalization in a long neglected portion of San Antonio’s inner city. After 15 years lying derelict, the creative reuse of this 26-acre brownfield site and its neglected structures are drawing in a rich mix of new residents, small businesses, retail, and non-profits while emphasizing community, conservation, and local economic development. This is a new community meeting ground where visionary private development and public space come together to create a vibrant urban destination.
The building was designed for a mobile telephone company, and rises from an initial idea from the clients to create a “warehouse with offices”, i.e., they requested a box with a single door… a building closed to the exterior with a versatile interior that could be exploited for a variety of uses without a space hierarchy. The idea of closing the building to the exterior was mainly needed for security reasons.
The YUTE’S project is an extension of an existing textile warehouse. The two young clients had bought an old offices building with some storage at its side, and after a few years of use they started to miss storage area, so they though in enlarging it. The original building didn’t have much quality from the architectural point of view, but from the beginning we thought that was better to keep as much as possible of the existing and growing from that, instead of demolishing all and start a new building.

As part of the grouping of different services on 105 Air Base, the project involves creating a unique place which shares competences and developing energy. The logistic building has been initially designed from the “efficiency” of the process, which took the form of an industrial lobby (52 meters large and 800 meters long) able to develop interactions and chains of different flows.
This project was the design and construction of a warehouse for an interiors shop and restaurant.
At this time, we had built up a stock of materials from three previous projects; “the floor of Atsumi”, “the grid of Santen” and “the difference of Ebitsuka” so, we decided to use these material for the warehouse. Unfortunately though, the amount was not enough. The idea for additional material was to reuse palettes used in freight trafficking. In modern distribution, the material of the palette has now shifted from timber to plastic and so, the transportation companies are burdened with the task of disposing of the large inventory of wood. It is for this reason, we decided to use this material, which had supported the commodity of the national distribution system, to try to create a relationship with local distribution and trade.
Situated in an industrial sector near Pierre-Elliott Trudeau Airport and intersecting highways, this commercial building stands out for its efficient architecture, simple forms, and colourful envelope. Fournitures Sélect specializes in the sale, rental, and maintenance of equipment used in post-damage restoration; it also provides training on this equipment. The building includes a showroom, customer service counters, a classroom, offices, a repair workshop, and a warehouse.
2 Whites Grounds is located in the Bermondsey conservation area, a central up-and-coming part of London close to London Bridge, where the Shard of Glass and White Cube Gallery are located.
The existing building is a five-storey-high warehouse with a distinctive character and a gable roof structure that dates back to the end of the 19th century. The project comprised the redesign of the interior of the top floor penthouse and the reshaping of the roof structure.
On a prominent location on the outskirts of Apeldoorn we have designed a sturdy-looking business property for Futurumshop, a successful online sports retailer.
The building has some remarkable features. These include a huge glass facade across the full length of the building, the height of the building, the custom-made front panels, and also a wall consisting of 12 maritime containers. This wall acts as both a partition between the warehouse and the offices, and the general and technical services zone which includes a pantry, toilets, storage space and a conference room.
70 South Franklin Street in Nyack, New York is the studio and gallery space for furniture designer Blake Tovin. Conceived as an intervention, the structure of Tovin Studios is a former warehouse. The project investigates economy of means, materiality, natural lighting and sustainable construction techniques. The facade is clad in weathering steel. Four major “light scoop” sky lights deliver day light and are a passive solar heating system. The project is currently awaiting consulting with energy modeling from NYSERDA.
