“Architecture is inhabited sculpture” is one of the phrases of the prestigious Romanian artist Constantin Brancusi. It has to do with one of the premises of the work philosophy of the architect Felipe Gonzalez Arzac, and the housing that we share in images.
This is a plot of land located in a town belonging to the second belt of the Buenos Aires outskirts. This is a traditional area of farmhouses that, after the construction of the Western Highway, is being gradually converted and transformed into a permanent living area. In this semi-rural environment, with very few neighboring buildings, the project had to be conceived without all the information that a well-established neighborhood provides.
Located in a residential quarter of low housing density less than 10 minutes drive from the center of Bahia Blanca, the house was designed according to the needs of customer use, who he requested: a family area, guest area, mainly for their children who do not reside permanently, and an area for private use. To achieve a smooth functioning project organization provides in these 3 areas can be used to each other independently.
The search for design spaces that characterize the residence is marked in the belief of time as a design pattern, which takes different logical structures depending on their specific characteristics in relation to what surrounds them. In this sense, the PRO.CRE.AR House adopts as premise two instances: the first in relation to social structures and the second in relation to technology and costs.
The property is located in La Caleta, a coastal town 25 kilometers at the north of the city of Mar del Plata.
The premise was to take advantage of a privileged environment, so the visual becomes the main objective of the project. Analyzing how the landscape is perceived from the house and how it is viewed from the outside, is one of the requirements defined by the firm.
The PYE house was built on a very narrow and deep lot in Escobar, in the northern part of the province of Buenos Aires, Argentina, which has a huge North-orientated diving wall.
The house project responds to the challenge of meeting the expectations of a young couple, taking into account not only the need of a house where they can start their own family but also the distinctive features of the lot.

Built on a 10 m x 17.5 m plot, this building is 13 m tall, the maximum height permitted as per Rosario’s Urban Code. This was established for the area delimited by a special plan devised for Pichincha District, “Plan Especial Barrio Pichincha”, which applies to the majority of the blocks in the area.
PH is the name given to a traditional housing typology in Buenos Aires, characterised by its high density and low rise. Set in the last unit of a long plot, PH Lavalleja coexists with the neighbouring free plan, high rise residential buildings that surround it. The views from them frame the scenario in which architecture emerges, opening possibilities for public space in the interior of the block.
The house is developed in an urban area. The plot of 9 * 13m is characterized by two very strong conditions, on the one hand the relation to the neighboring park and on the other its position in the corner of the block.
