CAA architects led by Liu Haowei announced the planning and architectural scheme of CAFA Qingdao Campus, which is directly entrusted by the Client. The new campus is a key strategic project for the Central Academy of Fine Arts (CAFA) to launch the new century strategy for the future. It is also an important measure for the college to expand its own operation space and develop a campus with future design disciplines as the core and the ocean cutting-edge science and technology as the characteristics.

Shanghai Yangtze River Delta G60 Innovation Center in China by Aedas

Led by the goal of accelerating regional integration in the Yangtze River Delta, the G60 Science and Technology Innovation Corridor linking Shanghai and its neighbouring cities is designed to be an important engine. Aedas has recently won the conceptual design competition for the adjacent G60 Innovation Center, situated at the starting point of the corridor, as a gateway landmark.

SCENERY ALLEY in Hangzhou, China by TEAM BLDG

Known as Imperial Street, Middle Zhongshan Road was one of the most important streets of Hangzhou in Southern Song Dynasty. The prosperity and flourishment of this busy street lasted till the 1990s. In the early 2000s, with the business core area shifted, Middle Zhongshan Road became a pedestrian street in the old town where  culture relics of old Hangzhou remains.

Our renovation project is located at No. 295, Middle Zhongshan Road, near the Jishanfang Alley. The original building was surrounded by shops and old houses with vigorous vibes of business and daily life. The renovation includes the elevation, interior and some display props. On completion, it became Becó295 undertaking the function of designer select store, showroom, workshop and cafe etc.

Tang Paradise Hotel in Xi An, China by CCD / Cheng Chung Design

Tang Paradise Hotel is located on the eastern wing of the Tang Paradise theme park in Xi’an City (known as Chang’an in ancient times), just beside the picturesque Lotus Lake in the park. Since its opening in 2005, the hotel has been operating for 16 years. In 2020, based on the theme of “elegant gathering and garden banquet”, CCD upgraded the hotel by applying modern design languages, to reproduce the scene of ancient celebrities and literati gathering, strolling and drinking cheerfully in the garden back in the prosperous Tang Dynasty.

As conceiving the hotel-style entrance lobby that leads into the residential community, QIRAN DESIGN GROUP took “the arc of life” as the concept, and integrated architecture, landscape and interior into a whole. Every design detail reveals the lifestyle aesthetics tailored to modern elites. Natural elements blur the boundary between interior and outdoors, and reshape the relationship between nature and modern lifestyle. The combination of colors, materials and curved elements produces an ideal space featuring British elegance and luxury, which creates a complete homecoming experience for future occupants of the community.

Wuhan Dowell Science Park in China by L&P Architects

L&P Architects has won the first place of an invited competition and been appointed to be the lead design architect for the Wuhan Dowell Science Park project. Aiming to accommodate the start-up Small and Medium Enterprises that specialize in innovation and technology industry, L&P focuses on creating public spaces such as interactive plaza, gathering points and other outdoor facilities that allow for the future collaborations and interaction opportunities. Providing flexible and contemplating spaces is the key to help the young creative talents, also known to be the “brain community” of Wuhan next generation.

Aranya Zhenziwei Restaurant in Qinhuangdao, China by PLAT ASIA

The project site located in front of an original locust forests at the southern edge of Aranya, Qinhuangdao. Clients have already constructed a black steel frame structure on site, filled with glass, a double-slope roof covered by tent cloth with a max height of 6.3 meters, which stand on a rectangular concrete base.

The architect is designated to renovate it into a restaurant operated by Zhenziwei seafood hotpot, which is selected in “2022 Black Pearl Restaurant Guide.” This is Zhenziwei’s first branch that outside of Beijing. Thus it would redefine the image of the brand.

Zhangjiakou Library in Hebei, China by TANZOSPACE

Shanghai Submarine Museum in China by PES-Architects

The Shanghai Submarine Museum will occupy a prominent position on the Huangpu riverfront in central Shanghai at No. 3 Dockyard, the former site of the Jiangnan Shipyard and more recently part of the 2010 Shanghai World Expo site. The area is currently undergoing a major urban transformation, with 30 km of the west Huangpu riverfront with its old industrial docks and sites being converted into cultural facilities, public parks and recreational sites linked by a green pedestrian passage.
