Iglesia Parroquial en Brácana in España by Fresneda & Zamora Arquitectura

Tuesday, July 3rd, 2018

Article source: Fresneda & Zamora Arquitectura

Brácana always wanted its own church. The people from this district in Illora’s township (Granada, Spain), historically added since the Catholic Kings’s time to the Davila’s lineage (later Counts of Guadiana), were always spiritually assisted in outside temples of the village, either for their provenience to other urban centres like the nearby village of Alomartes, or their private character, case of the only religious building of the town: the particular oratory, then private chapel (1891) of the ancestral Lord D. Luis Dávila Ponce de León (IX count of Guadiana), restored by his heirs in 1940.

Physical Therapy Clinic in Granada, Spain by CUAC Arquitectura

Wednesday, November 23rd, 2016

Article source: CUAC Arquitectura

Stretchers, hoola-hoops, wedges, rollers, bosus, Pilates balls of various sizes… It would be a shame to hide all the tools that allow for physiotherapy exercises to occur in a clinic that lacks technological machinery. If there is something that characterizes the commercial shop that previously stood on this site, is its exterior display, through the means of a façade opening. Continuing through it, in a passive way, its old exhibitionist framework and purpose.

The House on the Cliff in Granada, Spain by GilBartolomé Architects

Thursday, June 9th, 2016

Article source: GilBartolomé Architects

This house is a private commission made by a young couple who chose a difficult plot on a hill with an inclination of 42 degrees, in front of the Mediterranean Sea with breathtaking views. The task has been to integrate the house within the magnificent landscape that surrounds it and to direct the livable spaces towards the sea. It has also been about working with an extremely tight budget, a complex site and ambitious ideas both from the client and the architect.

Gabba Gabba Hey !! With this “war cry” one of the most famous bands of rock n ‘roll history, The Ramones, would start almost all their concerts This slogan, rescued from the cult movie Freaks 1928, was fixed to a huge banner to reclaim the pride of the marginal. The whole band starred the musical Rock and Roll High School (1979), centered in the crazy disintegration of an american high school where the students would take the total control of  institution turning the Ramones in their new improvised teachers.
