Fismuler in Madrid, Spain by oficina INVISIBLE

Friday, October 28th, 2016

Article source: oficina INVISIBLE

Is there where fismuler want to be?

A semibasement of 420m2 at Sagasta street in Madrid, with such a small entry that seems to access a cave. An interior without scarcely light, with windows translucent and almost hidden by plaster moldings, with almost no space to move through a maze of hallways, cavities, toilets, two rooms after turning down a few stairs, with a ceiling too low … an almost claustrophobic. But yes, with a very large kitchen and almost ready to use directly by the cooks.

In the attic of an emblematic building of classical early 20thcentury Madrid, this new concept of living space is placed: UNLIMITED SPACE is presented by architect Héctor Ruiz-Velázquez and built out of total freedom of layers. As if the design would be a three-dimensional object, every one of the rooms or points of the home can be located by specifying the axis of coordinates.

Municipal Library of Coslada in Madrid, Spain by Pinearq

Friday, July 15th, 2016

Article source: Pinearq

The program’s density, the area of the plot of land and  the  allowed construction  requires to  resolve the project within a compact shape building that occupies the entire surface of the plot of land.

The proposal takes this location into account as a starting point, coming up with a compact volume, which, however, has been perforated by a series of patios where vegetation climbs high achieving a good quality space and well lit building.
