House Casa Paracas in Ica, Peru by RRMR Arquitectos

Saturday, June 8th, 2013

Article source:  RRMR Arquitectos

Located in the desert coast of the Paracas bay, the perspective taken for the design of this house is a closed volume that extends along the total length of the plot. The main objective is to create a strong element of protection against the strong winds distinctive of this location. Through its path the volume expands, turns and embraces a wide space in the open where all pathways are united around the swimming pool, terraces and landscape. Protected by a huge exposed concrete mass, these spaces enjoy the strong sunlight throughout the whole year.

House Playa Las Palmeras in Lima, Peru by RRMR Arquitectos

Tuesday, July 31st, 2012

Article source: RRMR Arquitectos

The design is proposed in a compact stretch of land as a part of a residential development located in the deserted coast on the outskirt of Lima.  This development is 120km away from Lima City.

The house benefits from the increasing slope to create a sculptural and aesthetic volume. The plot is located besides an open park. Despite the compact character one can see the lightness and dynamic properties of the volume, characteristics that strengthen its relation with the public park.
