Located in the desert coast of the Paracas bay, the perspective taken for the design of this house is a closed volume that extends along the total length of the plot. The main objective is to create a strong element of protection against the strong winds distinctive of this location. Through its path the volume expands, turns and embraces a wide space in the open where all pathways are united around the swimming pool, terraces and landscape. Protected by a huge exposed concrete mass, these spaces enjoy the strong sunlight throughout the whole year.
Madrid-based OOIIO Architecture has developed a landmark hotel building in Lima, Perú. OOIIO have designed this singular hotel for a Latin American promoter interested in creating a unique, innovative and worldwide recognizable building with a moderate investment. The building is located in Lima, a city which is enjoying nowadays a constant growth.
The housing unit is a temporary summer home developed in the coastal desert of Lima, 95Km from the city. The stretch of land stands on a moderate slope in a privileged location with a frontal view to a golf course and a lateral view to the sea.As a starting point, stands a large, comfortable terrace ending in a longitudinal swimming pool, which represents the main living space. On both sides of the plot, green areas may be found, which allow for natural illumination on the lower levels.
This house was designed in the first row, plot5 in Lomas del Mar beach in Cerro Azul, 120Km. south of Lima. The plot is a rocky and sandy hill in a half curved shape that reaches48 meters high above the sea level and drops steeply8 meters in its lowest part. It has a 180° view to the Pacific Ocean to the south, and a panoramic view of the beach to the east and to the north. The two main goals to develop the project were to fully exploit the best possible view to the ocean from the social area, as well as from the master bedroom, and to make the most of the plot of land.
We were faced with a plot of land shaped as a quarter of a circumference that had a height difference of 5.50 meters on the curved side. This side has a privileged view of the sea. In addition, we were conditioned by the construction regulations which enabled us to build two terraced levels.
We had to solve an a typical project, a design center, where creativity and art should be blended and be offered to the user. The shops should have the same condition, without creating differences between the front and back. After solving the first floor with two locals, we made in the second and third floor 8 offices or locals arranged beside a yard with domestic scale.
The project is located in “The Casuarinas” urbanization in Lima City in a 1080.10 sqm plot. The Proposal contemplates the development of a two floor Residence with an upper floor access. Through a bridge you can gain access The parking garage is on level-0.70m. and come at it from the +0.00 level (street level). It has 05 parking lots.
The residential tower is to be a new prototype for one of the key residential areas in Lima, Peru. The major use for the units is for a single person (single, divorced, widow or a newly wedding couple) who wish to live in the coolest zone of San Isidro. In addition, the site is limited by 60% buildable area with height restriction which allows maximum 16 story(48m) height for 30 residential units.
The design is proposed in a compact stretch of land as a part of a residential development located in the deserted coast on the outskirt of Lima. This development is 120km away from Lima City.
The house benefits from the increasing slope to create a sculptural and aesthetic volume. The plot is located besides an open park. Despite the compact character one can see the lightness and dynamic properties of the volume, characteristics that strengthen its relation with the public park.
