Perforated House in Puszczykowo, Poland by SPACELAB

Thursday, December 21st, 2017

Article source: SPACELAB

The perforated house interior appeared in a completely rebuilt one-storey villa of the 1980s. The owners, who had been living there for a couple of years with their two sons, already planned a change of the inconvenient layout of rooms.

The house was surrounded by vast arboreous garden and had a great location, which finally affected the investors’ decision – instead of constructing a bigger building in a new place, they decided to follow the laborious path of total reconstruction of the existing house. This choice meant that the interior together with installations could be totally rebuilt while the exterior could be left intact.

Loft In Marmolade Factory, Poland by Loft Kolasiński

Tuesday, December 12th, 2017

Article source: Loft Kolasiński

Our project was done in a former warehouse of a marmalade factory, which operated before World War II in Szczecin (Poland). The project involved reconstruction of one of the open spaces for an apartment divided into 4 rooms (living room with a kitchenette, bedroom, office, bathroom). In the most part of the loft we preserved historic, wooden floors that have been restored. All the kitchen furniture were designed and built by Loft Szczecin. Countertops were made of white marble and kitchen furniture of plywood. The rest of the furnishing is vintage furniture and lamps from the 50s and 60s from Denmark, the Czech Republic, Poland and the Netherlands. The furniture have been renovated by Loft Szczecin. For decoration we used a polish rug from the 30s.

CWA House in Owczarnia, Poland by BECZAK / BECZAK / ARCHITEKCI

Tuesday, December 12th, 2017

Article source: BECZAK / BECZAK / ARCHITEKCI

This house, located in Owczarnia, a village near Warsaw, to a large degree owes its form to its owners, who, wanting a personalized, unique look, agreed to a spatial composition that departed from that of the archetypal home. The result was a building they came to call “the sarcophagus,” “the battleship” or “the crystal.”

X House in Warsaw, Poland by STOPROCENT Architekci

Tuesday, November 28th, 2017

Article source: STOPROCENT Architekci

The X House was designed in rather extraordinary circumstances. Before any design work started, the client commissioned a series of talks/discussions on architecture with our team. During the meetings we discussed and analyzed many various houses from all around the world. The aim was, on one hand, to provide a wide context for the work, and on the other – to get to know better the needs of the client and his family. These architecture sessions allowed us to set the framework for the future house quite precisely. The X house is not only supposed to serve as a comfortable living space for the family of four, but also to allow each of the family members to pursue their individual passions. Therefore, on top of the regular scope of a single family house, the design needed to provide space for diving equipment, kites, surfboards, a quad, motorbikes, skiing equipment, bikes, rollerblades.

Own House in Poland by ZONA Architekci

Monday, October 9th, 2017

Article source: ZONA Architekci

The project of the house is a very specific and at the same time unique challenge for an architect. Each line sketched by the designer is a reflection of the Investors dreams. In the case of this house project, the Metaforma Group was able to cooperate with clients from a very beginning of the investment process to the finishing point that was the interior design. The comprehensive approach to the topic has created a consistent whole. The residents did not have a full vision of how the building should look like. They were relying mostly on the sensations they wanted to feel inside the house.

It is a small place with a surface of 46m2, but with a height of 330cm in the light of the room which allows the design team to think of the local stratification of utility functions and the creation of a mezzanine. by analyzing the requirements and lifestyle of the customer, MUS architects has thought maximizing the open living space and creating a bedroom on the mezzanine above the entrance belt of the apartment.
