This time though it was the team of programmers who needed a solutions provider! Task? New ofce! In a historic town house in the centre of Wrocław, mode:lina™ studio designers worked on an ofce space of over 650 square meters.

The project of apartment buildings assumed maximum use of a small plot area. Along with practical function characterizing the project, designers of the Zalewski Architecture Group have not forgotten to implement the project into the context of Katowice architecture. The use of monochrome colors, minimalist shapes and composition based on abstract play of holes were a creative nod to Silesian modernism.
The complex of apartment buildings at 19 Złota Street in Katowice includes two 5-storey residential buildings with apartments of 50-70 m2. On the top floors there are apartments ranging from 100 to 150 m2 (with a mezzanine) with direct access to the terraces. There is a semi-public recreational area available for residents among the buildings.
Two longitudinal buildings separate the internal “courtyard” – it is a solution that takes into account the optimal parameters of the apartments – sunlight, access to a semi-private garden zone, space for parking cars – while making maximum use of the available plot area.
Hel is a city located in Poland, on the Hel Peninsula by the Baltic Sea. There is a seaside resort, a fishing and a yacht harbor. In this small, but very charming city, considered as ‘the beginning of Poland’, the boutique hotel called ‘hotHel’ was created.
The facility is located next to the main road running along the Hel Peninsula about 1 km from the bay and 2 km from the sea coastilne. The plot on which the building stands is a sandy dune with several trees characteristic of this region.The building is located along a street with several identical buildings. The sizes and shapes of buildings are defined in the local spatial development plan. This plan defines the lines in which new objects should be placed, building heights, roof inclination directions and angles as well as materials and colors to be used on elevations and roofs. It is these regulations that arrange the buldings of Hel along the Dworcowa street. However ‘hotHel’ stands out among other facilities. Its roof and side elevations are covered with graphite tiles, and each of the apartments has a characteristic white loggia.
Warmia is an area with low building intensity. For this reason, it is sought for by private investors looking for secluded, wild places and who value closeness to nature. The house has been built in the vicinity of the lakes, drawing on the tradition of regional architecture, modern and discreetly blending in with the context of the place.
The solitary house blends in with the surroundings, lacking neighbouring buildings, away from roads. Harsh landscape prompted Przemek Olczyk, an architect and the author of the project, to use transparent and legible tectonics, thus embedding the building in the morphology of the plot.
The plot, of which the house takes only a small part, has a natural fold that was the starting point for the design of the building’s body. A 90 cm reinforced concrete slab suspended above the falling terrain forms an extension of the upper elevation. It produces a distinctive yet lean line from which the building takes its name and character.
The aim of the project was to develop a comprehensive vision of the new headquarters of Pivexin Technology.
The designed space consists of an office building with social facilities, a warehouse and the land around the buildings including a driveway, parking area and decorative greenery.
Architectural Composition
Although the office building and the warehouse serve different functions, they needed to be connected to each other (due to the company’s activity). Therefore, we have merged the structures of both buildings and created a coherent and functional system of independent elements – one cuboidal block that includes different types of spaces.
The outer skin of the building is black, however, the two functional blocks – office and industrial – have been diversified.
The customer sitting area is designated by a suspended structure with delicate colour highlights made of stained wood, which contains the main lighting unit with adjustable light intensity. Ceiling installations are painted in a neutral colour to create a uniform background. Finishing touches, accentuating the character of the interior, include plants hanging from the ceiling, clay flower pots and wooden chairs in various shapes and tones of wood. Thanks to modular tables, the space may be adapted to suit various needs and conditions. The barge reveals its full potential on sunny days, when windows are slid aside to open the bar room to the river and embankment, bringing customers closer to nature.
A modern and comfortable house with an area of 151 sq m in Katowice. The ground floor was arranged in the open plan as a living area. The centrally located staircase with a glass balustrade is a real decoration of the interior, at the same time dividing the space into a sitting area that flows smoothly into the dining room on one side and a spacious kitchen on the other. In this way, the kitchen, although open, remains in some way hidden from the eyes of people staying in the living room. In the living room attention draws the wall behind a comfortable sofa, entirely finished with stone slabs, whose color perfectly matches the wooden floor laid in a classic herringbone. Although the large-glazed windows illuminate the living and dining room with daylight during the day, the architects also took care of the proper interior lighting after dark. In addition to LED lanes routed in the ceiling, they also reached for designer hanging lamps. Mirrored balls above the dining room table are remarkable interior decorations and eye-catching. The cozy atmosphere of the interior creates a composition of subdued colors, exposed on the background of white walls. The palette of gray and beige occasionally breaks stronger accents, such as mustard chairs in the dining room, black fireplace or natural greenery, beautifully exposed in a massive marble cover by the stairs. The first floor of the house is a private part, in which the hosts' bedrooms and bathrooms are located.
This historic villa from the interwar period is located in Wrocław, in the district which is under conservation protection. The main objective of reconstruction was restoring the modernist character of the building, which has been lost as a result of a previous repair. For this purpose, the windows and their dimensions were changed , to adapt to the original state of the building.
Investors wanted a simple, sunny and relaxing home, somehow reacting to the movement of the sun. They also valued our moving buildings and their changeability.
The starting point was a regular shape unbuilt site, located in the suburbs among the average single-family housing.
We placed a rectangular solid on it, and then turned the part belonging to the ground floor to get as much privacy as possible from the side of the road. In the ‘cut’ space was located a living room, roofed floor and in the perpendicular shape we located the SPA zone. Both spaces close the private part of the garden. The investors' wish was a simple house with a flat roof, but the local plan imposed sloping roofs. Therefore, from the street side, the house has a gable roof, and from the garden side a flat roof, which ultimately created a non-standard, characteristic house shape.
Hello Haffner – is a new hotel place, the atmosphere of which comes as a mixture of variety. A prescription signed by doctor Haffner shall provide guests with proper therapy consisted of urban experiences, esthetic tastes and jewel case-like spaces. Here, the active substance is the elegance of a sea resort; it also contains some traces of art deco and its derivatives. When administered by reasonable dosages, it shall guarantee peace and pleasure. After longer use, it may result in euphoria or melancholy. Please consult the MSWW before use.
