French fashion guru Genevieve Antoine Dariaux has smartly described how a refined and well-bred lifestyle could be shaped through terms of our life in ,”
Elegance is harmony, similar to beauty. Simply, beauty is a gift from God, but elegance is an ideal result of art; elegance was born in the process of cultural cultivation, and grown in it as well.”

YOU+International Youth Community in Shenzhen, China by office project

Tuesday, January 16th, 2018

Article source: office project

Under the trend of “no real estate speculation”, the urban leasing industry has ushered in a period of great transformation. From renting a room to a good house to a desired lifestyle, people’s understanding of life in the city will gradually rise to a new more valued one. As to the proposition that urban culture will become the lifestyle itself, we try to explore the future through a series of research-based residential design practices. Through the “Piston Room”, we discussed the time utilization of the Beijing ant tribe’s apartment space. Through the “Capsule Home”, we’ve thought about the possibility of new space in the city’s extreme collection capsules. In 2016, we had a chance to systematically explore the “living organism” of a complete city, which gave birth to the ” Home on the Roof ” of Shenzhen Yuanzheng industrial park.

Design has become and will be more and more the keyword of our world and our next worlds. The word will be the carrier of the thinking processes towards new societies. It is about the phase before production. It is about the thinking before the making. Design products change our world and so do the machines that produce new products. A society led by design is under endless construction and in an expanding smartening universe, there is an emergence of a new world of digitized making.

Fuzhou Kempinski Hotel in Shenzhen, China by YANG & ASSOCIATES GROUP

Thursday, September 14th, 2017

Article source: YANG & ASSOCIATES GROUP

Fuzhou, a historical and cultural city along the southeast coast of China, is also known as “Hometown of Overseas Chinese”, owning the reputation of pivotal gateway on “the silk road via the sea”. The old generations travel overseas to fight for their lives. YANG captured the suitcase elements representing journey and leveraged the image on the reception design. Together with the hanging backdrop Fuzhou Painting, they both secretly reveal the homesickness sentiment of that time. Designers drew inspiration from the influential Fuzhou Shipyard Culture during Qing Dynasty. With “Sails” being the design concept, they created a magnificent wall-hung structure “Sailing” using 366 pieces of hand carved cards. The structure, which is 8.5m in height and 8.2 in width, powerfully represent Fuzhou people’s unity, determination and courage. The card design took the shape of the Fuzhou traditional building tiles, and blends well with the local culture and inherits the local historic feature to keep the memories fresh.

Wal.Diamond Exhibition Center in Shenzhen, China by Shangyuan Art Design

Thursday, August 31st, 2017

Article source: Shangyuan Art Design

The client expected that the exhibition center can not only meet the basic functional needs, but also change the common impression of a pure office and display space in the past, and provide customers with a relaxed and leisure experience. In order to maximize the liquidity of the space, the layout is centered on the circular exhibition hall, with four counters surrounding the black pillars, which create a strong visual impact. The office has different functions, suitable proportion and ideal circulation. The rest area for customers is located in the centre of the north/south office, which alleviates the serious atmosphere of the whole area. At the front hall, the designer wanted to attract customers’ attention by adding a huge model to the ceiling of the display area, sometimes independent business can be achieved here. The designer hoped that the inherent business image can be changed through spatial senses and office type arrangement.
