Hartenaugasse Office Building in Styria, Austria by Ernst Giselbrecht + Partner ZT GmbH

Friday, February 22nd, 2013

Article source: Ernst Giselbrecht + Partner ZT GmbH

For an architect, the task of giving a manor house a new purpose and function is of course a fascinating, yet also complex, challenge. Villas such as Hartenaugasse 6 rank at the very top of the range of desirable residences. Yet the shape of living space today has changed altogether fundamentally in comparison with the ideas prevailing at the time the villas were designed. This accounts for the fact that many of these buildings are put to other uses today.

ÖWG/ÖWGes HEADQUARTERS in Moserhofgasse, Styria by Ernst Giselbrecht + Partner ZT GmbH

Saturday, February 2nd, 2013

Article source: Ernst Giselbrecht + Partner ZT GmbH

For every business, the new build of a company headquarter is a forward striving action, and thus, also the new ÖWG/ÖWGes office building, became an architectonic contribution to the urban room of Graz. In essence, it’s about expressing presence and future-orientated ambition both externally and among the employed staff, the building should communicate that new approaches are being made.

Aqualux Therme Fohnsdorf in Styria, Austria by Architekten Titus Walter Pernthaler ZT GmbH

Wednesday, December 12th, 2012

Article source: Architekten Titus Walter Pernthaler ZT GmbH

The history of Fohnsdorf as a coal mining town serves as the inspirational starting point for the design of the thermal bath. The building is situated as a monolithic block seemingly growing out of the existing topography by analogy with the characteristical form of a coal seam.

Meeting Hall Gosdorf in Styria, Austria by HOFRICHTER-RITTER Architects

Tuesday, June 19th, 2012

Article source: HOFRICHTER-RITTER Architects

In comparison to the local surroundings, the distinctive architecture of the hall marks the attempt to provide a new highlight in a highly heterogeneous and, in terms of scale, non-homogeneous structure of a rural settlement. The hall has been deliberately designed as a venue for everyone; it stands apart from its neighbouring buildings and almost looks like a UFO that has just landed.
