The Mae Ku Learning Center is a new educational building located near the Thai-Burma border. The building is designed as a mountainous, monolithic object nestled in amidst the adjacent fields.
The center is a multi-functional educational space for the Min Tu Won School, a community-led organization that provides education for a local community of Burmese refugees and migrants.

ASA Lanna Center is located on a highway in Chiang Mai, Northern province of Thailand. As a branch office of Association of Siamese Architects (ASA), the design aims to find the balance between keeping the local culture identity while accommodating requirements of today.
This private residence is an addition in the family property having an existing 1-strory house. The new house is placed to give each other enough privacy and flexibility to expand. The house is for a young newly-married couple in their late 20’s. Modern life style and social life of the owner is driving the functions and the architecture of the house.

“Vanachai” translates as “victory in saving forests”, has become a corporate pride and philosophy that has rooted down firmly in the company’s way of building up business for decades. Founded in 1943, Vanachai Group has grown into one of Thailand’s largest manufacturers of engineer wood products such as MDF, HDF and particle board.
“The Line 101” has been created based on the key idea, “Living between the Line”. The expression, like in literature, refers to hidden, deeper meaning, beyond words, or visual appearances. Inspired by Davenport’s famous, modern painting, “The Waterfall”. The demographic group of residences, young, free, active and successful, are perceived as vertical stripes of colors, expressing themselves so lively, vividly and uniquely, to create a unique, dynamic work of art on the skyline of Sukhumvit.
The Base Height is a 14 Storey Condominium building, consisting of 358 units, located at near Phuket town center.
The landscape main concept is multilevel landscape spaces, completely merged with the building. There area three main open spaces from ground to rooftop, starting from Lantern Courtyard on the ground floor, Mid–Level Courtyard with a courtyard pool/reflective pond, and Roof top Pool Deck & Garden. This helps to create enormous amount of open, functional landscape spaces for residences, even when the building already occupies most the the land.
It all started with the owner’s dream to create a “place” for lively and colorful activities on an old family land. The development should reflect memorable unique style. Also, the development should be able to handle broad variety of activities. With no other preconceived ideas about the appearance, the owner came to OPENBOX with the first concept keyword, “Ngan Wat” (Temple festival). Then, we began by studying the site and develop “Ngan Wat” into tangible images and forms.

OPENBOX Architects’ recent residential design intertwines architecture, interior and landscape in the form of marble sculpture.The initial idea is to allow habitant’s behavior to carve a dwelling space into a monolithic piece of marble sculpture. The main piece appears so solid, yet so light it floats to defy the gravity, while external landscape space flows underneath through the center courtyard. Residual marble pieces fell onto the ground to become part of the landscape features, isolated, yet visually related so boldly, as they use to be part of the marble boulder.
Two years after Bed Station Hostel was completed in 2014, the client offered us with a new project, a typical one-block-shophouse in the same neighbourhood. A unit of 4m. width by 16m. depth, named BED ONE BLOCK HOSTEL after the building character. Despite a small area, all facilities are still required with the maximum bed number. Balance between public and private space is also necessary.
