The City of Vilnius has issued the building permit for Business Stadium Central designed by Zaha Hadid Architects. Integrated within the Vilnius City Plan and the popular public square adjacent to the site, Business Stadium Central will be a new gathering place for the city.
Consisting of two low-rise towers of 8 and 9 storeys connected at street level by a courtyard atrium and two floors of public amenities, the centre’s 24,000 sq. m design also connects its two towers via a skybridge at level five. The curvature of the centre’s facades and its cantilevered balconies face towards the historic Gediminas Castle Tower in the heart of the city.
Three elements the rectangle, the circle, and the triangle creates a sculptural composition in a two-floor apartment. 120 square meters are divided into two floors. The first floor is the main area, with the master bedroom, while the second floor has two separate children’s rooms. A dark-toned rectangle shape separates the entrance and wet areas from the cozy, wood-floored areas of the apartment. The main bathroom has a romantic bathtub situated just under the roof window, while other areas (WC and shower) are hidden in two separate dark zones.
A memorable and minimalist 68-square-meter apartment with a unique staircase-like detail in Vilnius, in the newly developed residential complex of PAUPYS.
The accents of this interior were set by contrasting colors and textures, with a unique stair detail on the ceiling, revealed by the hidden technical piping. The stairs detail creates a unique feeling of the upside-down climb, yet it is very slightly visible and doesn‘t create an oppressive feeling, but an interesting volumetric image inside the main area of the apartment.
A residential house has been reconstructed in the Ribiškės Landscape Reserve belonging to the Pavilnys Regional Park.
The project aimed at reflecting the local spirit, contextually and sensitively meeting the needs of a modern house. Keeping a link to the past, and yet creating a present-day heritage, has become one of the main challenges. Do not expose architecture, but rather “immerse” it in an old apple orchard. To anchor the house comfortably to the terrain and make the inhabitants feel at ease in the environment.

The Marriott Hotel is an ambitious project of a bold structural and architecture idea.
The architecture of the hotel in Vilnius is unique in the context of the Courtyard by Marriott brand. From an architectural point of view, the Vilnius Hotel building is one of the most modern in the entire Courtyard by Marriott network. It marks an aesthetic shift in this modernizing brand, leaving behind the old American tradition and opening up to today’s architectural trends.
The house with the round window is in a dense block of private houses in Vilnius. 182 square meters, two-story house with a small garage volume, which is an identical shape scaled to the appropriate size to fit one car.
The key wish from the clients was to have a big common space not divided by stairs in any way. So we chose to move the stairs out of the main perimeter of the house. This idea creates an interesting shape that looks different as you walk around the house. The north part of the house with the stairs has just one round window. It reminds us of a newly built birdhouse that waits for its dwellers.
The house stands in one of the settlements of individual houses in Vilnius city. The street and neighboring buildings are under development. Several plots already have houses, but most are still awaiting for individual construction with an unpredictable architectural result. Such a forecast for the future resulted in a restrained and laconic character of the house that could easily cope with the various solutions of the neighboring buildings.

The first time we visited the area with its owners, we were greeted by “the real owner of the area” – a confident, calm, brown-colored dog. Some time ago, this dog was lost and found shelter at the former owner’s house. It took a little amount of care to him to stay here. The owners sold their house, moved away, but the dog stayed loyal to the place. He stayed here during the period of construction, patiently waited for the inconvenience to end. Not only the owners changed, but the all site as well. Although, he stayed loyal. Nowadays, he still greets visitors to the site. Holding his head up he takes care and protects the place. It seems that the new place fits him as well as the former one. Today, he is named Brownie – a beloved and well-known dog in the area. A true story that inspired not only us. We fell in love not only with this place, but it’s spirit as well. It was a start point where the sensitive designing of architecture started.
Cozy, tiny apartment in the newly developed living area in Vilnius, Paupys.
The initial program was to create a simple, but attractive apartment for rent. You may ask: “Why so many slopes?” and we may answer that all started with one huge recuperation pipe that went along the wall through all the apartment. And then all started… To hide one pipe we developed a composition of sloping spaces and doorways that all play the same game in one tiny apartment. Coming closer to the result we saw that this small apartment became more than a place to live, it became a little sculpture, that you almost want to carry it anywhere you go.
