Article source: OFIS Architects The plot of the building is a four-leaf clover from which each leaf represents a different department with associated facilities. The entrance leads to the central part with the common areas, which are positioned and distributed in three floors: ground floor with the main entrance and central outdoor common play area/playgrounds for additional activities, first floor with administration/offices and the underground level with kitchen, services and technical areas.  Kindergarten The unique shape of the kindergarden creates a distinguishing yet integrated landmark in the meadow it is situated. Each leaf creates its own green bay which functions as an intimate atrium for each childrens department. As such, all surrounding landscape is designed as green playground platforms and small meadows. The buildng is located on a south-eastern part of the site where it benefits from sunlight throughout the day. Each playroom is connected with an external playground through a covered wooden terrace. Bay play-gardens merge in between departments and create “a green effect” atmosphere inside the interior.  Kindergarten The design of the garden with islands of green hills symbolically summarizes the characteristics of the local countryside. Playrooms are oriented towards the south and have canopies and interior shades to protect from sunlight. All rooms are naturally ventilated; lateral orientation of departments allows for good air ventilation. The spaces are concentrated, therefore energy losses are small, as is the material consumption during construction and maintenance.  Kindergarten The lobby is combined with changing locks and additional playrooms can be used as multipurpose areas. The material, structure and cladding are all local and natural and the structure of the building is simple and economical; reinforced concrete cores with brick and wooden fillings. Finalization is mostly natural wood and paint on natural grounds. Rainwater tanks will be able to recycle hot water and the surface of the roof allows for the installation of photovoltaic cells.
