The tower block construction in Stockholm has been planned in connection with the extension of the City Line rail link.
The complex of 100 metres, the equivalent of approximately 30 stories, will include a hotel, offices and possibly housing. The building will be equipped with an entrance to a new station at street level directly opposite the city’s old main railway station, Centralen, and will therefore be a landmark for Stockholm’s new metro.
Located on a narrow strait, separating continental Italy from Sicily, the Regium Waterfront marks the city of Reggio Calabria as a Mediterranean cultural capital. Drawing inspiration from the radial symmetry of the starfish, the structure, housing museum and performing arts centre, stands as a beacon visible from land and sea.

MARC is commissioned to transform an elegant mansion from the beginning of the 20th century into an efficient contemporary office building. To do that it needs to perform radical and pragmatic interventions, optimizing the use of space. At the same time, it is necessary to respect the existing rooms and preserve their charm, but without being intimidated by their cold classicism. The project looks for discretion and neutrality while inserting all the many necessary new elements. Like the new staircase in perforated metal -the trigger of the typological change- that connects seven different levels illuminating them with a big skylight.
LETH & GORI’s project for an extension to Music Gymnasium Salzburg received a 3. Price in the open international competition.
The project creates a new extension to the school without stealing space or light from the existing densely built site. This is done by digging out the northern part of the site and inserting the extension as a onestorey building with courtyards and skylights. The roof of the building becomes a new playful urban landscape for the students.
The project of Gianni Veneziano and Luciana Di Virgilio of the V + T study provides three levels of the exceptional restoration of an historic building of about 1850, located in Molfetta just outside the historic downtown area, developed in the air in a 700 call “new rooms”, real close to the port or, better, near the shipyards in the port of Molfetta (in the province of Bari).
A simple line architecture giving answers for two autonomous processes;, car predelivery and preparation and car spare parts distribution, incorporating latest technologies and bioclimate to the buildings.
The terrain (16 há) is a big esplanade for car parking, consisting of a big park as the central axis , with green and service areas forming differentiated entrances leading to the personnel service building and preceded by a water surface with a totem bearing the company logo. It is a simple architecture of closed big volumes, stainless steel color cut by horizontal window stripes looking like mobile lighting lines ,where red corporate color is determinant in the whole entirety both, day and night. Entrances have also sun and rain protection marquees.

This back yard patio situated on a small urban lot in Seattle provided an opportunity to explore how a very simple and contained architecture can animate a space and continually surprise and engage its owners.
The challenge was the client’s interest in adding a large amount of program (grill patio, hot tub, changing room, dining table, bar, stool, reading area, and security gates) while maintaining as much open area as possible. The solution began with a calculation of the allowable building area in the back yard which was then transferred directly into two vertical planes. Through a series of hinges and pivots, the individual bits of program are housed in these two vertical walls. Sun/shadow studies derived where the specific locations for the various programs would be within the composition of the wall.
