The pre-existing building for the new Lonate Ceppino Public Library already belonged to Lonate Ceppino’s historical heritage.On a rectangular plan, the two leveled buildings housed the Civic Library on the ground floor, while the first floor had been left unused. From the outside, the main entrance façade has a higher decorative part which is independent from the roof structure.

Municipal Sports Hall situated on a plot of Vacarisses suburban, small town in the province of Barcelona. Medium size typology, and conditioned by a narrow parcel, the project is solved with a peculiar situation of the smaller service pieces, and a great versatile cover that incorporates all the complexities of the project, plot, orientation, functional inter connection between parts, etc. An unusual final twist of the structure frame, solve the complexity of the cover in a quiet way.
Mahnala environmental school is located in a rural setting in central Finland a few kilometers north of the city of Tampere. Currently the school is housed in an old building dating from 1903. This building is highly representative of the Finnish vernacular school- house of the time. As such it is an iconic symbol of the long-standing tradition of educational facilities on the site. The old building, however, has been undersized to house the activities of the growing municipality for years already.

The house and the workshop are located in a plot in a small housing estate in Mijares. It has good accessibility, a rural environment and far views of the mountains. The design solves a complex program, considering the determinations of the planning and the characteristics of the site: access from the good orientation; a sloped, trapezium shaped plot; orientations; sights; adjacent buildings; and the presence of a great tree, a salix fragilix.
The design for the Arizona State University Polytechnic transformed a decommissioned airbase into an inviting pedestrian campus that celebrates the desert landscape and creates a new identity for the program. Located in Mesa, about 30 miles southeast of Phoenix, the ASU Polytechnic campus was formed in 1996 with 1,000 students occupying re-purposed buildings of the former Williams Air Force Base.
Bulvar 216 is one of the important trade center in Asian part of Istanbul because of it’s location. Due to its proximity to the city center and the financial district, it has a great importance for the users. It contains stores and moduler offices in various metersquares.
While most sewage treatment plants are invisible to their communities and separated by a chain link fence, the LOTT Clean Water Alliance Regional Service Center is a visible and active participant in the public life of Washington’s capital city. The LOTT Clean Water Alliance provides Class A reclaimed water and emphasizes water conservation through a strong community outreach program, in addition to providing wastewater treatment services to 85,000 people in four local communities. The new facility, located on the site of its existing Budd Inlet Treatment Plant, brings all management and staff together in one location. The facility includes three major elements:
The Ikibana restaurant offers a fusion of Japanese and Brazilian gastronomies, two cultures that seem so antagonistic: quiet and minimalist the first, exuberant and bustling the second. One of the biggest conceptual challenges during the design of the restaurant was finding shared singularities between these two cultures. Being a great challenge, it also became the leitmotif of the project, as we discovered that the landscape was an extremely important element in both cultures, and we decided to extol this element in the design of the space and create an artificial landscape.
High Tech High Chula Vista is a public charter school serving 550 students in grades 9 to 12 with an approach rooted in project-based learning. The school fosters student engagement by knowing students well, tapping into student experience and interests, and building a strong sense of community. Through internships and projects based in the community, students collaborate with adults on work with meaning that extends well beyond the school walls.
Designed and built by the office of Oyler Wu Collaborative along with students of the Southern California Institute of Architecture, Stormcloud is the third project in a series of installations designed for SCI-ARC. The previous two installations, Netscape and Centerstage were designed for the school’s graduation ceremonies in 2011 and 2012 respectively. With SCI-Arc celebrating its 40th anniversary, the school commissioned the new pavilion for the after-party of its April 2013 gala.
