The Melbourne is a 20 storey residential tower located on Brisbane’s Southbank. Melbourne Street occupies an important link between Southbank and the CBD and between the riverfront cultural precinct and the interior of Southbank. It is one of the major gateways to the city.
The Longbeach Apartments are located in the centre of Brighton Le Sands in Sydney; a busy cosmopolitan, beachside suburb near the airport. The area has a busy street life filled with cafes and restaurants. The site enjoys panoramic views of the beach which is why the Longbeach Apartments contain 50 residential units with extensive balconies and a ground floor restaurant to enhances the existing cosmopolitan streetscape.
‘Chinese boxes’ is the first built project of ‘thescape’, an architectural design office based in Seoul, South Korea. It is a very small apartment house, 237.34sqm of gross floor area, with four units and one underground studio.
We conceive architecture as a language across which properties can express themselves such as: harmony, creativity, happiness, beauty, poetry, complexity, magic, provocation and culture.
The Grotiusgebouw (Grotius building) is a new university building of the Radboud University Nijmegen. The university is situated in a green, park-like environment. The compact, detached building with its orientation to all sides fits perfectly into this green campus. The building will mainly be used by the Faculty of Law.

The Capco and Bold Rocket offices in Shoreditch, London are located in a 150 year old 5 story steel and brick loft building. The architectural and cultural context of the neighborhood inspired the design concept: open loft space, industrial architecture with character, solid materials, visible joinery details. The custom furniture and walls use raw materials and expose the method of construction. Solid ash wood, timber pine either left natural or painted and black powder coated steel are the predominant materials. Walls reveal the method of construction, turning the typical construction inside out; wood studs are visible.
This dwelling is located on a visibly narrow and elongated plot, which induces to create an appealing garden and swimming-pool as the backdrop of the house. Its singular shape is based on the wish to visually isolate the house from its surroundings, unaware of this particular atmosphere.
Grown out of an ambition to create a modern town, Carl Axel Setterberg’s 1860’s plan utilized a simple grid to achieve connectivity, hierarchy & diversity. The power of Setterberg’s grid has eroded as the city has expanded. Today, modern infrastructure and large complexes have cutoff the city center’s grid from the surrounding neighborhoods.
Dutch design practice zone zuid architecten has recently seen their concept for an osteopathic practice in Roosendaal come to life. The 225 sq m Osteopatie Praktijk Roosendaal was opened in March 2014 and transforms a former industrial site on the outskirts of the town into a striking healthcare centre.
French architectural practice MZArchitecture carried out the architectural and interior design for Yo’Mo Lounge, an upmarket Lebanese and Mediterranean lounge restaurant in the heart of Cannes, South of France. The 200m² restaurant has three main areas – a lounge furnished with armchairs and sofas designed for convivial aperitifs, the main restaurant with bespoke banquette seating, and a 12 seat private chef’s table with a view to the open kitchen.
