WHERE : In order to boost sports activities in the Municipality of Thouars. A major restructuring of the Thouars sports complex has taken place. Our project finalizes the renovation of the equipment.
WHAT : The stadium meets a federal athletics and rugby program and requirements. We are in charge of building the changing rooms of these two Associations and of the covered stands.
To serve a rapidly growing area of the city, the Raleigh Parks and Recreation department partnered with Clark Nexsen design the new, health-focused Abbotts Creek Community Center. The healthy living themed facility houses a high bay gymnasium space with sup-porting classrooms, fitness spaces, and staff space. Complimentary outdoor athletic and fitness spaces are also included.

The project site is situated between the existing Émile Legault School and Raymond Bourque Arena, both of which are horizontal in form and neutral in character. For this project, it thus became vital for the design of new sports complex to create a visual and physical link between the Marcel Laurin Park (to the north of the site), and the projected green band that will run along Thimens Boulevard.

The project consists of two bodies connected by a central core. The first volume corresponds to a 3-storey building, which appears in the extension of the adjacent building. The second volume is an existing building (old spas) with one floor. The central core works as entrance lobby and as connection between the two bodies concentrating all circulations.
