Article source: Guillaume Ramillien Architecture

When Alice had come within a few yards of it, she saw that it had eyes and a nose and mouth ; {…} she saw clearly that it was HUMPTY DUMPTY himself. ‘It can’t be anybody else!’ she said to herself. ‘I’m as certain of it, as if his name were written all over his face !’

Lotus 7-0 by STUDIO ROOSEGAARDE

Saturday, August 17th, 2013

Article source: STUDIO ROOSEGAARDE

LOTUS 7.0 is a living wall made out of smart foils which fold open in response to human behavior. Walking by LOTUS, hundreds of aluminum foils unfold themselves in an organic way; generating transparent voids between private and public. Via LOTUS, physical walls are made immaterial, giving way to a poetic morphing of space and people.
