Motion added to Xplore a broader portfolio of solutions in the “rugged category” of tablets.  Xplore Technologies recently acquired Motion Computng “Now we’ll serve two markets of ultra-rugged devices,” said Denny, “and we have the dominant marketshare.” Denny added that their customers include utilities, construction, public safety and retail. 30% of their business requires some level of customization, such as in-vehicle docks and perhaps including special integration. Vectorworks Nomad Autodesk Exchange Apps Cross over the One-Millionth DownloadTuesday, June 30th, 2015Autodesk recently celebrated the one-millionth app download on the Autodesk Exchange Apps, a web-based design and engineering app store created for the Autodesk community. In three years since launching, the site has published 1,800 apps from third-party developers, which are available for download in 14 different languages and in 191 countries.  CADtoEarth 2.2 for Autodesk® Revit® extending a family of add-ins that establishes a bi-directional connection between CAD environments and Google Earth or Google Maps. The CADtoEarth 2.2 add-in now allows users to create personal accounts on the CADtoEarth web application and provides individual control over the visibility of uploaded data. Graphisoft presented ArchiCAD 19 this year at AIA. Just today Graphisoft announced the rollout of ArchiCAD 19 worldwide, with shipping starting with the U.S., UK/Ireland and International versions on June 24. German versions will follow on June 30th These are the first four of 27 local versions,that should hit the market by the end of Q3 2015. IMAGINiT and Pix4D Partner to Offer Imagery Extraction from UAVsThursday, June 18th, 2015Rand Worldwide announced that its IMAGINiT Technologies division is partnering with Pix4D, leading developers of 2D and 3D mapping and modeling software. This collaboration will help architectural, civil and manufacturing design engineers extract imagery taken from unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and convert it into usable 2D and 3D models.
