This project takes place in urban area situated next to Rennes’s Road in front of Bassin Bouvet in Saint Malo, an industrial port of Northern Bretagne.
Interesting features of our site born from meeting of two urban landscapes which are giving strong identity to the site. Volumes result from sensitive approach to both the systems. Our objective is to equilibrate existing constructions, to continue architectural process of the harbor. In this way, the project is strongly inspired from docks constructions of northern Europe, a kind of reinterpretation of industrial harbor constructions.
Along four streets, construction is divided in 3 main blocks with their own proportions and specific highs. This is our answer to the area construction’s scales, to the localization of site in Saint Malo. Contact mg Architectes
