Article source: Sau Taller d’Arquitectura The approach to the nursery is on the basis of the land surface separated from the urban park of the same name. This place is chosen because is slighty higher than the elevation level of the rest of the park so the equipment has views of its surroundings.  The classrooms facade. Covered with interactive panels to make the children play directly with their building.
 The classrooms, directly connected to the back courtyard. The school is a triangular building, one could say it is three buildings in a triangular arrangement, all joined by a skylit space in the center. This triangular space in the center, links the program pieces laid out in rectangular bars, is used as multiple use space, winter patio, serves as an extension of the dining area and performance hall.  Main Floor The program laid out in the three intertwined parts is space for classrooms overlooking to the park to the south, management and services and entry on the north edge and vertical circulation edge parallel to the main road to the east. That last volume contains a series of ramps that serve the upper floor of the second, provides a second access from the street and also gives the school a strong image via the floating roof and an expanse of glass that gives passersby a glance into the building’s triangular core.  First Floor On the North edge entrance, you find a top-floor cantilever that reaches towards the small courtyard, highlighting the main entrance and presenting a colorful face. The classroom module, facing to the south is separated from the courtyard by a transparent facade covered by some “interactive panels” which regulate the entry of light and can be used as a game. The classrooms share outdoor rooms caped by glazed canopies that take you to the back courtyard, behind the colored wall there they also share Nap Rooms.  Axonometry These three modules also presents a facade to the capped triangular space in the center. The entrance is covered in wood panels, the classrooms facade is presented in raw concrete, the entrance holes are presented with the same color tone as the shared space outside. The vertical connexions are separated by glass facade with a drawing of the landscape of Torelló printed on. The space under the ramps is utilized for stroller. Overhead a series of southfacing skylights covered of solar panels on the outside, combined with clerestories, brings plenty of natural light to this space. Linking space, multiple space, expansion of the dining room, … The changing scales of all the spaces also helps to create this sense of being outside of this courtyard.
