Article source: nothing architecture/narch The project is part of the partial plan for land subdivision in the sector “La Parada” of Manresa promoted by INCASOL proposed the design of a main axis, av. dels Dolors, where dwellings units are located in isolation. The building consists of PB +5, for a 3 floor commercial premises and the basement with 31 parking spaces and 20 storage rooms.
A front light during the day, rich with dynamic volumes and shadows at night lights up as sifted light box, getting a building porous, very light, depth and variability by use of its inhabitants, creating reflections, shadows and silhouettes that flow between interior and exterior A thin perforated leather, a translucent veil from the outside works as a sunscreen for the proper functioning Meoro climate of the building, and as a visual filter for preserve the privacy of their occupants. From within the contrast in brightness between the pierced and the opaque panels manages to keep the visuals. Flexibility, luminosity, lightness, clarity, freedom, rationality, simplicity, dynamism, mobility, openness, emptiness, appearing and disappearing. The dwellings are arranged around the central core of communications, leaving all stays in façade an all services inside. The location of the living-rooms in the corner can play with the composition of the façade featuring balconies on either side free and making it disappear on the four planes of enclosure. Sliding system applies throughout the building from the front where the shutter is replaced by panels of perforated plates to the inner divisions that are integrated sliding doors by Krona. The spatial flexibility, freedom of movement and distribution creates a clean, smooth and flexible space, expanding and extending the area of relationship. 400 panels and perforated aluminium sheet: 3mm anodised matte silver form the second skin of the building, creating an appearance intangible boundaries and porous architecture of becoming imperceptible. The panels slide along the entire façade generates, from the outside, while mobility uniformity in the front, while from inside the panels can come and go as needed, getting a front open system varies according users and not determined by the architect. SUSTAINABILITY ELEMENTS AND MATERIALS: THE DESIGN: – More than 80% of dwellings receive, between 10 a.m. and 12 a.m. in winter time, direct sunlight. – Each dwelling has natural cross ventilation BUILT PROCESS: – Pre-industrialized system based on panels is used in all facades MATERIALS: – Recycled materials obtained from building products are used in the building FACILITIES: – Renewable energies: solar panels use solar energy for warming sanitary water. – Community spaces are lighted with light sensors without adversely affecting the lighting quality. Narch intoduction Narch works from communicative, light and immaterial architecture. Immaterial appearance, light construction, lightness, transparency, atmospheric effect, glass reflection, weightlessness, extreme thinness, abstract, formal austerity, rigor, immateriality, prefabrication, utility, efficiency, gently, purity and neutrality, no limits between inside and outside, spatial flow, silence, try to become imperceptible, absence of architect, try to become imperceptible, erase, nothing… Narch is based on the evolution of architecture towards the disappearance, without restricting space and releasing it to men. All our projects are subtle, lightness, next to the person without conditions, leaving space to grow and grow. Spaces are flexible, multiple and changing in a clear and orderly structure that becomes invisible, as a unified treatment of the facade helps to focus the attention on human activity.
