Located in Suburb area, House in Yotsukaido stands on the corner plot site facing a retention basin. Generally speaking, a ground floor is bigger than or at least equal size to a upper floor, here inversed condition occurs, a bigger upper floor on top of a ground floor. Le corbusier `s Villa Savoye would be a good example of this composition. What differs from it is that load bearing system, not columns but semi opaque walls.

The semi opaque walls, made out of polycarbonate, are wrapped around the ground floor providing a bright garden underneath of eaves. When it gets dark, similar to jelly fish or spaceship, interior lights illuminate outside creating floating atmosphere. The house becomes a new landmark around the context.
