Article source: Noriyoshi Morimura Architect This building planned in the location of Katsurazaka in Kyoto city. In this area, you can see many houses built by the general House Makers. In short, all of the buildings lined in this area will look similar and monotonous shapes.
But there is a convincing reason. The regulations of cityscape and the regulations for building appearance design that determined in Kyoto city are set to adapt best to House Maker’s building designs. In these regulations, it has been impossible without serious understandings and cooperation from the client and the officials to compatible our design ideas and the designs’ orientations. Furthermore, this greatly-blessed site located on the corner of the road, and has amazing view beyond the east frontal road. Overall these results, this house based on black with low center of gravity big roof has been successful in producing graceful calm restless and harmony in this cityscape, we thought.
