This is a house which is built in new residential area. The area has no special character and most of the houses are built by house builders. When I face to a situation like this, whether I like it or not, I am made to think about it. My question is… “Do most of people want to have nothing special, just an ordinary house in an ordinary land? My answer is in this house. As an architect this is my solution to a social situation like this. Externally the house appears as a simple volume with prefabricated windows.

This means that this house does not too stand out from all the other houses, and also the cost is kept low by avoiding the use of made to order windows and materials. But I carefully designed the proportion and layout of the windows. As a result, I think I managed to give a special effect to the exterior of this house but still merge it into the surrounding area. Although the exterior is simple, inside the house I wanted to included lots of things to enrich the lifestyle of those that will live in it..

To design a good quality house based on “the ordinary”, but with the added sense that only architect could have, shows the architects role in modern society and also helps expand the field where architects can be active.
