Article source: Atelier9.81 The city of Tourcoing is now the heart of a major restructuring, initiated several years ago. All public spaces, roads, squares are completely redesigned and includes a large shopping mall cinemas will soon be inaugurated. In this context, metro, tram and bus station combine to offer a real multi-modality.
The project’s pedestrian downtown Tourcoing finds its reason for being in this relationship directly between modes of transport (bus station on one side and tram and metro the other) between the place of Dr. Red Square and the Charles and Albert Roussel. The walkway is part of a row of town houses of the same nature, replacing one of them. For this breach of alignment, pedestrian asserted visually with the color red orange implementation of the gears and found the formation of a glass facade plan backlit at night.
