The intervention builds a piece that receives the visitor who reaches Daroca providing him with a singular image in a peripheral environment that has nothing in common with the beauty of the medieval municipality. The urban area of Daroca answers to a geographical situation in which, before the construction of the Mine, the greatest ingenieril work of the s.XVI in Spain, the waters of all the territory flows across the city and its walls through its Maior Street, a cliff that drained in the river Jiloca. Outskirts are placed in the elongation of that cliff by the canopy, establishing a link with the former city from the reinterpretation of the structures of balconies and hanged houses that they showed on the Maior St. It is a piece that as tribute to this constructive tradition, generated from a structural and matter vision of the project.

The project is developed as two important plans, floor and cover, that build an almost sculptural space between both of a sufficient comfort, marked as to receive the user inside in his moments of waiting, but that in turn a representative, iconic and important presence indicates of towards the tourist could be said that of the same city, without establishing an excessively built and closed element, but rather an image close to that of a pavilion of park, to an element of street furniture. This pavilion remains configured by the combination of three different systems:

In the first place the functional one, which solves the confluence of the road traffic and the accesses and pedestrian exits in only one piece, as a carpet that, lifted slightly of the ground, receives the transfer of traffics and provides several exits through slight ramps and steps that establish a solution of continuity with the sidewalk to them.

In the second place the spatial one, which establishes the construction of an area or enclosure differentiated of the rest of the avenue, recognizable, but without generating an isolated space, but rather in continuity. The idea consists of builds a place protected from the rain and of the sun, but integrated in the urban space, not isolated in a bubble, but with the possibility to keep perceiving the city, its avenue, the mountains and the Low Door of the wall.

In the third place the matter, which generates a warm image of an equipment that as a sculpture, establishes in the avenue of the Constitution. Effort of material simplicity, in which the warmth and tenacity of the wood of the old beams diagonal ties and lattices, and what is heavy and inorganic of the stone are composed in a new structure “waters down” again, is delimited by cover and ground for wooden filters, lattices that mark the space out but do not prevent its understanding in continuity, capable of generating in a unitary and simple way the auxiliary furniture that the equipment demands, the benches and posters in one
