Effort of the project team (in all its stages – from feasibility to construction details) doubled the customer’s will (Timis County Council) project implementation by European funds has defined a strategy for winning and concluding the execution of this work.

First they considered the potentialities of interior spaces, the unused space (attic) and defining new volumes predominantly contemporary cultural functions.

Conceptually the procedure is based on several principles:-

  1. Eliminate cement mortar and concrete poured in the rehabilitation of the 70 (default eliminating attacks on surface due to historical materials at the time).
  2. Implementation of new installations only floors and metal elements to exclude intervention in historical substance.
  3. Use of new materials (reversible) easily removed in subsequent interventions.
  4. Fine contemporary emphasis on interventions.
  5. Near existing materials carefully based on thorough research and careful intervention on them.

A new element in their design of the study was to analyze the related historical material – plaster, brick (5 types), stone (2 types) and wood that while behavior and response to intervention in the 70s. Some surprising findings led restoration solutions different from those given by classical or mixed specifications. New materials used were chosen to “grow old” nice easy contrast with historic areas, while the “support” for a stone monument was chosen to hide the limestone areas of the court of honor but enhances contrast and “reinventing” places unused.
