Article source: Theo Texture THE MOOD @ LKF located at the top of Lan Kwai Fong, is an 12-storey office building revamped into a boutique hotel, a new architectural genre for urban Hong Kong. A white aluminum cladded mask in organic cellular shapes over black glass is created at the lower part of the building, framed in LED lights. The name and the logo of the hotel are designed with two “O”s to correspond with this organic cellular motif which is repeated throughout the hotel. These cellular motifs and black and white colors are employed to echo the urban chic feel of the neighboring of Lan Kwai Fong, in and out of the building as well as in the graphics.
